Soappie have you finished the room of doom at work? whats the next exciting item on the agenda??

Oh, yes, I finished the room of doom at work yesterday. The new system is FAR better and more efficient.

The good news is because I spent two whole days doing it, my normal work built up a bit so today was filled almost completing that. I have a couple more emails to deal with then I'm all caught up. But, there are some boxes of stuff which is old which I will have the pleasure of sorting through and disposing of as appropriate. I think the latent librarian within me is coming to the fore at the moment...
Soappie whilst I remember - catching up on the thread - I would like your venison stew recipe as DD1's boyfriend and his dad shoot every week. As long as they dress it for me I can cope, bit squeamish about innards!!!

My venison stew varies, depending on what I have around. The thing to remember with venison is that it's really quite bland tasting so you need to big the flavour up with herbs and other stuff.

What I did tonight was lightly saute the venison pieces in olive oil with some garlic, chopped onion and chopped celery. I then whizzed up a tin of plum tomatoes with some fresh parsley and thyme and lashings of freshly ground black pepper.

I then threw that in the saucepan with the venison, added a good glug of red wine, brought it to the boil then put it all in a casserole dish on a medium oven for an hour or so. Lovely!

However will be having a glass of wine tonight - I passed my OU course (exam mark was appalling, but I still passed)

    Well done :j:j:j:j:j:j
Hope your wine went down well.

    Oh I'm loving tomorrow's list.:D:D:D

Clear out the ATTIC? Can't I'm afraid. Cos I ain't got anything in it!!:p:p:p:D:D:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

**wanders off to bed thanking my lucky stars that piggers didn't put clear out the garage:eek:!!**

    See you all tomorrow.
    Nite xxx

I expect the garage is on Friday which is why she put the attic on Wednesday ;) Luckily I don't have a garage anymore.

Kitchen S&S'd now the cake is out. Just cooling in its tin, so need to turn it out onto a rack while I make hot water bottles.

Need to try to get the fire hot enough to swap from wood to coal, and see whether I can keep the stove going all night. Then I'm off to bed before the house cools down, as the heating has gone off for the night

Gym @ crack of dawn tomorrow, so I'd better make a list of everything else I need to do.
