  • Well the snow looks very pretty (from safe inside)
Went down to nearest shop this morning - and took the bus back as some of the side roads were very slippy.
Have spent ALL afternoon doing the marzipan for the cake :rotfl:
It is several years since I attempted it and fortunately it will be hidden by the icing.

carlsberggal Where do you get the cheap laptops? DS3 needs one for college and DS1's is not working properly.

I haven't had a proper read back through the posts today. Now that all our sons are home I have restricted time on here.
Hugs for anyone who needs them.

I have made lemon curd for my friend as it is her favourite and it was too pricey in the farm shop. DS1 has made me some labels. I hope she isn't reading this as it will spoil her surprise.

I need to find my list so that I can see what I was really supposed to do today:)

Thank you Toots, pigpen and everyone else as I feel like this is the most relaxed Christmas ever. Every room is clean and tidy (I don't count the hall as that is a builder's yard) and pressies are wrapped and ready for Christmas. I wouldn't feel like this if it wasn't for all your guidance and support.

I'm feeling revitalised from my slumber this afternoon.;)

LR is nearly done. Just waiting for DD1 to arrive so that she can do the Christmas tree with Miss Tag and DS2. God forbid we should do it without her, she's only 19 afterall!! I've no idea where DS1 is, else I'd have a full quota of offspring here!!

Is it just me that has had the heating on all day? It's so, so cold here.

    Plan for tonight...........more flying!!:D:D:D

Valli - sounds like you had a wonderful time!!;) Go you!!!:cool::cool::cool:

This one, I notice they have just opened one in Cheshire too which I must mention to my parents.

Thanks - I am rather proud of them. Even DH (who doesn't do sweet stuff) approves, and at c£2 far cheaper than buying some good ones or sharing the very good ones a small person tells me DH has bought me for Christmas .

    Hex that link does nothing:confused:
and don't forget to look VERY surprised when you open that gift;)
DS no doubt will be desperate to get home to see if his sister likes her gift
(there's a white one which is really feisty and inquisitive, wonder if she'll call it Snowball?)

  • Just back from an outdoor nativity - 'twas a trifle parky! After a medicinal mulled wine we (DH & I) are going to

    Put up tree
Gut floor & hoover under everything in lounge
    Sort presents
    Start wrapping
List for what else we need to get (stocking fillers mainly)
    Ironing catch up
Start filling floor cracks (aka home of artcic draughts)
    Find beddding for Christmas guests
Sort out stuff for church, to deliver on way to church, on way back etc
Ring rellies to check on current snow situation.

OK - ist HHC from now 17.30

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.
