Valli - I wasn't allowed to wigan or owt like that either only local disco/youth group!! Found it again about 6/7 years ago, it's great and made loads of friends through it. Best weekender is in Whitby where 2000 soulers converge on the town, great fun. Old granny my ar£e!!!!!!!!!!!!
On you tube they have loads of vids of Dean Parrish (I'm on My Way) visiting Wigan and doing a weekender. He's a white american/italian and thought he would be singing to a non-white audience apparently! he was VERY shocked when he wasn't.

made a start on kitchen and wrapped 4 presents.

    Afternoon

    It is so cold here.

Been to Santa (gutted it has been the same fantastic one for at least 14 years and he has gone - he was the real one I feel bereft)

Going to get the gammon in the AGA and then back to my list to see what I can achieve.

We went to the Derbyshire Dales for a walk but it was so cold we just went to my favourite bookshop and came home again :o. Lovely drive though, very pretty with the frost, etc.

My truffles turned out really well despite my complete lack of ability :T. They are going in the freezer quick before I eat them. Got some pastry resting for mince pies, also for the freezer. This advance prepping is boring but useful.

Valli - sounds like you had a good night :D
