I've read this thread thru from top to bottom and am utterly amazed.
My household tips are: if it isn't on the laptop it's in the A4 box, only clean it when it's dirty and save the planet, feed 'em when they're hungry, and most important of all..........enjoy life - it's too short to stuff a mushroom and no-one said with their dying breath 'I wish I'd been more organised'0 -
Oooh I'm going to get myself a folder sorted. I'm not going to do anything in it - but I love folders - I've got coloured dividers too and loadssssssssss of clear pocket things. I have to do things lwhne the mood takes me and unfortunately it doesn't take me often enough. Never mind I'll still have my lovely folder. I'd like a cleaner - if I can ever afford one - she'll have my folder to follow!!!!0

Ah, but Dora, some of us do!I'm one of those strange creatures who worries about how often I should be cleaning my bathroom. I'm enjoying this thread....but believe me if a friend phoned up and I had to make the decision between going for a drink and cleaning the bathroom guess which one I would choose

Well said MP, that's the whole point of the Flylady challenge (this thread was Murtles idea so I can't take credit for this) that when it is all done and 1 hour per day doing the "Home Blessing" then all that time that is left will be free and completely guilt free spare time too because nothing is waiting for us to do it.
Plus with the Home Folder, when things arrive it takes 2 seconds to put in it's right place and 2 seconds to lay your hands on it when you need it. Isn't that better than being 30 minutes late for work, school or an appointment because you had to spend so long hunting for what you needed that day?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

well i have made a start
bought a lever arch folder,
loads of dividers
written out a contents page
noted loads of recipes
written lists of things to put in it
hopefully over the weekend i will manage to get all the sheets of paper into the binder then i can progress with my new and improved organised life
thanks for all the ideas
regards

The most organised woman I ever came across got up at 5.30 and did housework until 7.00. The rest of the day was hers for work, rest and play - sorted :T0

There is something satisfying about doing housework early in the day - I just never feel like doing it when I've had a full day at work. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

1. Clean Cobwebs
My DH is reading over my shoulder, and is impressed at your ability to clean a cobweb, without breaking it! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I've kicked him and confiscated his wine glass on your behalf.

5.30, how scary. I don't really like to be awake at that time!! I like the idea of an organiser, because I am unorganised. I'm the one that puts people off from coming in, or spends 2 hours cleaning before anyone arrives so when they do I'm so tired I want to go to sleep! I work under pressure but I'd love the idea of leaning how to clean in an organised fashion so it takes me a few minutes daily rather then my whole weekend!!0
