I have just ordered some plus size clothes to sell on, so I will let you know how it goes, should be delivered at the end of next week. Being plus size myself I find Ann Harvey/Evans etc so expensive, and they just churn out the same styles year after year just in different colours.!!

Mind you I can never find size 7 boots, 16/18 clothes or my bra size in those shops either. It seems that a lot of the population are 16/18...............

    Any designers out there??

There are but it can be a nightmarish quagmire getting past the skinny, only wears black, buyer who will only buy what industry magazines tell them to, in the colour ways specified in trend magazines and nothing else ... that's how it was a few years back anyway. There are a few more options appearing via internet sites for men and women but I have no idea how good they are ... being a svelte bloke and all :rotfl:. Definitely plenty of opportunity in this area still, and selling larger size clothing on ebay is a good way to go if you can source it. Oh and the average woman's size 5 years ago was 16 and from all I have read and witnessed, this is rising in the UK.

i am yet another delboy (as named in work) your commetn about size 7 boots, in my last ebay business i set up was ladies footwear, a mixed box of boots, they went up to size 7, but they only usually supplied one or two in the style out of say 12 pairs (mixed sizes) they did actually sell pretty quickly on ebay, so another thing people might want to look out for, if you can get a bargain on size 7 boots/shoes, it may be profitable? (again, you may want to research completed listings in ebaying just to make sure you are happy to do it)
Thanks to all who post comps :T

Oh no! Why? I am more than willing to share on here anything I find that I think will be helpful to others, it might stem other ideas off too.

Feeling a bit better now. The disputed item with the horrid buyer is still outstanding, but the buyer of the trousers has paid (£5 for the jeans then P&P) not loads but a start. Also one of the tops I listed has been bid on just 99p so far but its a start :)
edit: Also recieved cheques from american consumer opinion and consumer intelligence, so this is another £12 closer.

It all helps drinkuppretty!! Hope you get resolution with the mean buyer! Ive done two refunds- one i believe didnt receive it- the other was signed for too so gonna look into reclaiming the £10!

My parcel has arrived today (atho wasnt in to receive it- darn!) so think Im okay re the selling the items before receiving them!!! I had emailed both buyers that was snowed in and post office shut (tis true!) yay so my first buy to re-sell has netted me £15 profit after all fees and postage- not bad for originally spending £32 :0) yay!

Right so coming to the end of my first week i have 9 items on ebay 2 of which end tomorrow one is at £9 and the other is at £1.84 between them they have 20 people watching so hoping there is a bit of a rush towards the end. Ether way its a start and a good one i like to think and have got about another 6 items which could potentially bring in some good amounts of cash.

I've got to admit, I'm keeping it deliberately vague. :o

I know from our business that having too many people selling the same thing is a bad thing. No-one wins as everyone has to strive to compete.

It's nothing personal, it's just good sense.
I'll let you all know what private sales go well though in case you can get hold of any, and anything else I can think of.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
