You need a barcode though, so it's not suitable for everything.
It can also be a bit tricky to do, with it not accepting in some categories.

Basically I wouldn't advise on getting a subscription soley on the basis of that. ;)

If you need a product adding though I could see if it's possible or maybe add it.

VictoriaPlum1- just under the pages there is a line of options- click on thread tools. :)

Thanks for the advice. Nothing specific at the moment, just a handy bit of knowledge to have .

Thanks Mambury!! I've never heard of this before. I've been asking my dear old gran (76 - a seamstress/dressmaker for at least 50 years!) to teach me to sew so this might be a good start, looks quite easy, quick and I reckon pillow cases are not too hard to find without spending too much. :T

damn.... should have kept that one quiet! :D

hey guys, finding i have to log on and check this thread as soon as i get home. addicted i think.

sale on ebay today, and payment received by paypal :) £21 including costs for postage. Ok, not much, but still excited, 1st sale, onwards and upwards i say :)

my current plan is i have purchased some jewellery i am hoping to sell at a profit on ebay, thought it would be cheap to post but necklace and bracelet come in seperate boxes, i also ordered matching boxes for earrings, and because the boxes are quite bulky, although very good quality, it means postage is a parcel now, think i will relist the item, without boxes, will be loads cheaper on postage so more affordable, but add an extra postage option to include box if they want them?

I have a few books (listed on ebay) no interest yet, but will look up the greenmetroplolis that was mentioned, see if i can sell through them instead? I have a ladies rucksack that i may try on gumtree? but living in wrexham not sure if it will reach a very large audience, but will list that and any other bulky items i may find and try to get some sales from personal items through that. next step will be to invest some of my £100 in some other items i have seen from wholesaler that i think might sell ok (am trying various items incase i find one that works for me), and also charity shops and car boot purchases to hopefully sell on. I too think i need to research a particular area and see if i can find a little niche and interest.

To quote some others on here, i too, am going to keep seperate lists for items i invest in specifically for this challenge, and items i already have round the home that i decide to sell, so striclty speaking my £21 less costs is actually profit right now (as was a personal sale), but i have spent £70 out of my £100 (of whihc i now need to get items sold to make money). my reason for this is i will be classed as self employed for items specifically purchased, so if i add sales from personal items (which would not be many as i really do not have much to sell, i decluttered last summer when i got rid of my fella, best declutter ever:))they would also tax on that which i don't think i should have too for the odd sale of a prsonal/used item.

Do you think this makes sense? a good place to start? (and as far as wholesale selling goes, i have done before and made small profit on ebay, so feel it sia risk worth taking, as long as you spread variety around and not put all your eggs in one basket, some things work better than others)
Thanks to all who post comps :T

koshma - i wouldnt give the buyer the choice about the boxes, best to have one option so the buyer knows up front what they getting and no confusion.

Hi Cally, I'm from Cumbria. Whereabouts are you? I'm way behind on the thread so don't know if you have had any replies yet.
