Hi Does anyone no a gd place to get postal packaging at a decent price? i.e for Bits of clothing, Medium sized boxes etc

    Cheerz
  • I bought it from Argos I think ( I bought one for my girls and one for a relative so I know one came from Argos !) . It was £179.99. I wont get that back for it,but it is so hard working out a price on ebay due to fees and paypal and fvf ! I want £155 for it but I need to put it on for £180 to get this back after fees !!

I did all my Xmas shopping as early as possible this year, but not handy when you need to return something and the time limit for returns is up !

I could keep it I suppose in case its limited edition - I might use this fact to try and sell to my cousin though - its a good price I think at £155. Maybe I should try freeads ?

Have you checked with argos about returning it, many stores extended their returns over the christmas period to allow unwanted/duplicated gifts to be returned after Christmas. I'd go there with the receipt and tell them that it is a duplicated gift that you have (you don't even have to say bought, they'll just assume you mean received, so you wont be lying, if that makes you feel uncomfortable)

Hi for anyone who is London based and is looking for items to sell on ebay. There is an Orla Kiely sample sale in Brick Lane. The Old Truman Brewery, London E1 6QR.
I don't know what the prices will be like - but sample sales can be quite good for knockdown bargains. (I found a Miss Sixty sample sale where all the items on the final day were reduced to £5) I don't know the prices but the items do seem to be quite popular on ebay. Entrance for the sample sale is £1.

    The dates and times are
    Thursday 7th Jan 11am - 8pm
    Friday 8th Jan 11am - 8pm
    Saturday 9th Jan - 11am - 7pm
    Sunday 10th Jan 11am - 6pm

    well done Amber!
Thanks for the tips skintbint I'll have a look for paper circles and some pretty material for the tops xx

You can use the wax paper that cereals come in, thats what i've used and also try looking at jumble sales for pretty dresses etc and use that material...alot cheaper than buying new :)
  • oops sorry and forgot also ask on freecycle for jars...I received a massive response.

Im thinking about making jams and chutneys, does anyone know what the rules are around selling at carboots? Also if anyone knows where I can get some jam jars and lids and things I would be eternally grateful! xx

Ps. I had one sale on amazon today, another £3.50 to add to the pot wahay!

I know this sounds really wasteful, but when my mum made homemade stuff and didn't have enough jars, she went to tesco and brought loads of tesco value jam and curry sauce, they came in glass jars and were less than 10p each, this was the cheapest way she found to get jars.

Like I said, wasteful, but money saving at the same time, sure you could find something to do with the contents - maybe?

Could you freeze those sauces to use at a later date? Like put them in those freezer bags to save space in the freezer as well. Just a suggestion. x

  • Read this thread & very inspiring! :T

Not sure I have the time to put towards the £100 to £10,000 challenge, I'm just going to subscribe to saving as much as I can for this month before setting myself a target.

Signed up to BB thanks to this thread a week ago & have just got a pay out of £80 (£55 profit). Not bad!
