someone on another forum told me to have a 'dream book' to go with my daydream fund....
basically what you are trying to save up for, put pictures or newspaper cuttings etc into a scrapbook, and look at it every day or when you get low, or even stick things on the fridge.... at the end of your bed, on your wardrobe door, basically anywhere....
If you want the money to pay some bills off, put a pictures of credit cards everywhere, etc..
honestly it does work....
My Motivation is to prove to myself that I can do it! Got a big 10k Burned into the back of my mind!Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0 -
I would absolutely love to take part in this, is there anybody who would be happy to talk to me about it, on msn or something like that? I have 5 days a week off as I am a student, so the time is there, and I think I could manage the money to invest in it without hindering myself, wife and daughter! I don't really expect to make 10k out of it of course but any profit is good!!
The reason I ask if anyone could talk to me about it is I have absolutely no idea where to begin really I read through parts of this thread and still don't feel any wiser really. I see ebay, but where to start there? If I get the ball rolling I think I will enjoy it and come up with ideas.0 -
Ok I have just spent my first £23.49 on two items which should be with me in a couple of days. One seems to be selling for about £35-£40 and the other about £25-30 so should make a good profit hopefully! Well done on the sales :T i already made the mistake of listing before things had arrived. Got to sit on my hands and wait for stock to arrive first as companies can let you down unfortunatly.0 -

congratulations!! :T0 -
I'm listing on ebay too. i did it for a few nights in a row and then had a night off. it is quite tiresome but i know i have to put the workk in if i want the payoff.
at the minute i have about 40-59 things on and only one has a bid. they all end sat/sun so i'm hoping more will sell closer to then. otherwise i'm carting everything to the carboot sale.
i do keep imagining what it will feel like to see my bank account with £10K in it so that's spurring me along and also i got a sale tonight on amazon worth about £8 so thats good too. i'm being dripfed the payoff but either way, it's coming.
does anyone know whether home knits are worth the effort. i can knit quite basic patterns so i was thinking of doing scarf/glovehat sets for children and either ebaying them or carbooting them. any opinions/experience on this would be great."it's better than a poke in the eye with a pointy stick" - my dad, regularly throughout my childhood when I complained about something being too small/not perfect/not tasty/not what I wanted. he was right every time.0 -
Trying to sell a black Nintendo Wii - not for profit unfortunately ! A relative refused it as a Xmas pressie and said I had spent too much. So I gave them some socks instead !!
I have listed it on ebay but no takers. Thought as brand new in box unopened it would have sold but hey ho.
Anyone know of other places I can sell it ? Dont like the idea of freeads or gumtree due to people coming to the house. Might seem a bit dodgy if I asked to meet in a lit car park !
Any ideas please?VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

I knit too and make special cardies jumpers for my kids but wool isn't cheap so find that it costs you more in wool let alone the time it takes too.
To make a baby cardie and hat for my lo cost me £8 in wool but you can pick them up already knitted at the car boot for 50p.0
