Well, I have been busy the last couple of days and through cancelling gym membership, changing mobile tariff and other things like that I have worked out that over the next year I will have saved £1164  - can not believe I was wasting this amount on totally unneccesary things
So, can this be added to my pot as it was done off the back of being motivated by this thread???
Also planning on shaving off £20 week off my food shopping, so can this be added?
Can't make up my mind whether this would be fair....:oBe the change you want to see in the world - Gandhi

Grrr 4 things listed on eBay but no bids/watchers. Time to list some more I think!
Then I must get on with my essay!!!0 -
And if those people make £1 of profit, guess what, they're going to be proud that they did that. They don't need people like you raining on their parade, if they want to be proud of however much (or little) they make, then why are you getting your knickers in a twist about it?
Lighten up, and join inyou might just like it

As the challenge has no rules I do not see why not. Every little helps is what I say! Well done on the savings!0 -

You clearly do not wish to take part in this challenge, you just want to whine and belittle our efforts to raising a little money. If you take this up at the discussion forum I am sure there will be plenty of other pessimists who will side with you over there.
I'm not belittling anybody. I am just pointing out that what seems such a simple notion is very hard to achieve, and most will not achieve it!
You sound like you would rather keep your head in the sand with your "I can't hear you", fingers in ears mentality than address the fact that this is an impossibility for most.
Just because you don't like to hear sensible advice doesn't mean it is negative. It is just realistic as I said before.
Good luck to you. You may achieve it. I'm not saying you won't.
Realistically though, give it 6 months and see where you are. If you're £200 quid up then it is indeed good. £10,000 is just a simply unrealistic amount in my opinion for the vast majority of people.0 -

I'm very light indeed.
Make a profit and alls well and good. Make £100, go ahead. Aim high but aim for a real figure, not £10,000 or £10,000,000 or £10 BN
Thats all I'm saying!0 -
in terms of whether 10k is realistic, I really dont care. What is important to me is changing the way I look at things - I have already made about £100 as a result of this challenge. I wouldnt have done that if I hadnt joined. I appreciate that you think that some people may think that by just joining this challenge it will happen, but why should that stop the rest of us.
If I make £300 or £30000, its for me. This thread is here to support me, but it is me who is going to be doing the workNo longer an accidental landlord, still a wannabe millionaire:beer:

whitegoods_engineer wrote: »The comment that "anything is possible" is just stupid. You get these deluded people on X factor who are tone-deaf, ugly and sound like a castrated cat squealing going in front of the judges with the same thought in their heads "anything is possible" However, they are NOT going to win, no matter how much self belief or delusion they have.
Perleezzzzzzzeeee!
The point for me whitegoodsengineer is that you are right - some of these poor souls on X Factor dont have the talent and have never been told that they are terrible !! And you can easily make that judgement after an ear piercing, cringeworthy performance !!
But what are you judging us on? You havent met us, or spoken to us, or watched a month's 'performance' from us .....
We are all starting this challenge with a small budget - a lot of us dont have the £100 to start with ! But we will complete it - maybe not the whole £10,000 but my aim is for the whole list to make it through the 365 days together - that would be a success !!
Have you looked through the other challenges on the site - and how many success stories there are? For all sorts of bizarre challenges? The thought of positive thinking has been around for years and can work for some.
Did anyone think Jedward would get through boot camp, let alone the live finals? Did Stavros Flahertly think one night in front of the telly they would enter and get to the BGT live shows? I would imagine Susan Boyle's community cringed when she told them she was going on BGT - can you imagine her hairdresser thinking ah, poor deluded woman, going to be humiliated...
My guess is you dont believe people win competitions, you dont believe people will get rick quick or slowly , or are being greedy for wanting more....
