I would like to re-start this thread as i have several jobs that have been waiting far to long to be done!
Tonight i have sorted out the numerous baskets in my bedroom and put either into ironing pile, (did alot of ironing too) charity or bin bag, I intend cleaning the bathroom before i go to bed. I have decided to do one `job` a day as well as the usual non stop housework/washing etc. I will let you all know tomorrow evening what i have done. I need this type of thread to get my house clearer.;)“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
I did the bathroom last night but wasnt happy with storage so looked at my local car boot sale today and found a really nice beech shelf unit for a fiver. Tonight as i bathed my little cherubs i wiped down the unit and transferred the numerous bits and bobs and thought it looked alot better. Also easier to access certain shower gels or shampoo`s. Tomorrow i am going to try to concentrate on my younger childrens bedroom. That will be a real challenge!!

:T:T to Elaine 373 for reviving this thread. How did you get on yesterday Elaine?
My house looks like a tip AGAIN. I am utterly UTTERLY hopeless, what is the matter with me??? I even had a week off wo** and yet didn't manage to get the place sorted.
So, I am going to start with the kitchen, and I am going to start tonight... I had new light fittings put in when I was home for that week, the old fittings and various old lampshades are still hanging around in the kitchen. That's as well as the floor being somewhat "unhygienic". Sitting here typing really helps huh!?!
Well, it's worktop and floor in the kitchen tonight.
Monday - need to return some bits and pieces to B&Q, go buy some curtain rails, and then will tidy up the front room, including get kitty hair off the sofas (again!!! why am I so stupid not putting the throws I already have over the furniture....D'OH!!!)
Tuesday - bathroom - it's not too bad I don't think. Just have a collection of empties lying about, and need to do a good wash of the bath/shower and sink.
Wednesday - my bedroom. Again not too bad, but I remember saying that before and I nearly passed out from exhaustion...
Thursday - my little office. This is the real !!!!!! to be honest, it's the dumping room for every piece of paper that comes through the door. I still have a pile of papers about a foot high (now half the size it was...but still too big).
Actually...brainwave...I should do 15 mins in my little office every day. That's going to be easier possibly.
Friday - the spare room. Oh gawd, there is so much stuff in there. Stuff I need but have nowhere to store. I'm going to move house some time over the next 12 months from a 3 bedroom house into probably a 1 bedroom flat and so buying any more furniture in which to store things would be crazy! Any ideas on what to do with that situation?
Saturday - pass out.
So then, who's joining in and who is going to crack the whip????0 -
