Thanks to you all for your inspiration!
I've well and truly fallen off the bandwagon. My sink is still shiny, but everywhere else is a cluttered mess. Where can I get the energy from??
An early night tonight! Flylady always says 'you need your rest!'.

I'm sure this is where I started to slip again - all these late nights reading the OS board and playing on that blooming money grabbing game! (how on earth do people have such high scores? And why oh why can I score more when I play after midnight than during the day?? but that's another thread and another board!)

So, to re-cap - early to bed tonight for me, and I'll catch the first wagon in the morning ;-)

  • I am soooo pleased with myself. My flat is looking lovely, and it is often hard to get it looking so as it is so small there isn't really anywhere to put things, but have been sorting this! Just one set of shelves and the wardrobe/cupboard to sort out and I'm finally decluttered and sorted for an easy life!! (Well, easier!!!) And all before my holiday next week!!! Excellent!! :D

Hi, Have been watching the thread for a little while and have joined in as of today! On friday i made a lovely shcedule for the wall planning the week. Last night i made a bit of a head start by having the washing machine going all day and ironed while watching fast and furious 3!!! Ironing is so easy when watching a film!

With 3 under 4's i have struggled to keep on top of household chores and i think its a routine i need to get on top of it. This morning is for sorting out the kitchen - done really well! Few bits left on kitchen table to distribute once floor is dry! My eldest goes to school at 1 til 3 and the others should be having a nap so will scrub the living room then,
Trying to keep motivated, i get reallyy down when im in the middle of a job and the a child needs me.....how do i balance houseowrk and babies?!

code-a-holic you could try doing flyladys way of working for 15 mins then stopping and playing with the children. Or set a timer for 15 mins and every time you need to go do something for the babies, stop the timer. When you come back just resart the timer and off you go again, till the next time they need you. Might feel you can acomplish things, even though you are stopping and starting you are still finishing what you planned. Might take you a bit of time to get there, but you will have a declutter and organised house. x

Ok, off work today so I have lots to do, especially as I gave myself the morning off to read and watch a little tv  . So for today I have to take all the washing off the dryers and fold so bf can iron them. Quick tidy for the rooms that have already been decluttered, put a load of washing on and put on dryers when finished, declutter spare room/office as it is getting pretty  now and organise all the paperwork. So looking forward to a decluttered and clean house, makes my mind a lot more decluttered, strange. Good luck to everyone else who is FLYing. :T

well so much for good intentions. DH worked from home yesterday. How he managed to make so much mess is beyond me  . I've been out all morning and DH is away o/n so no idea what if anything I'll manage to get done today:rolleyes: . Still get a longer day tomorrow as DS goes to breakfast club and DD is in nursery and I have to stop in all day as the gas meter is being changed so best make sure downstairs is presentable.

Finally put up the blinds in my office!!!!!
I still have to take off excess slats and put up the plinth - but at least now I can still work in the office when the sun shines (and play the money grabbing game PW ;))
Sorted lots of screws etc into right compartments by reminding myself (as F/L says) 'housework done incorrectly still blesses your family' (ie, didn't matter if I didn't do all of them - doing some helps). Quite proud of self - and then DS (age 16) offered to put away ..... and promptly tipped the lot on the floor !
Got to dash - school run. Will finish later....
