    Hi,

I've been reading the thread for the last couple of days and admiring everyone's energy. I've decided to join in but can only take it slowly (was in hospital last week and now back to work full time).

Shined my sink last night - in shock as I didn't know it could come up so clean (not v shiny tho' as it's about 25 years old). Also sorted and weeded two boxes of books.:j

Tonight I'm determined to FL the porch before I take DS and his GF out for dinner (it's his birthday 20 today, where does the time go).

I've *sort of* done DS bedroom. It's at about 80%. Despite having a son for past 6 years I struggle with his toys. I have no idea if the piece of plastic that looks like it needs binning is actually a vital part of some remote control car, motorbike, electonic game etc  . I've ended up putting it all in a toy box and will go thru it with DH present cos he's far better than me at this.

There are also some books that are far too babyish for him now and really need to be in DD bedroom. I will sort them when I've done her bedroom hopefully tomorrow so it can all become neat at same time, instead of moving one pile of junk to another place.

I have a shorter day tomorrow to get things done due to going to look round school nursery. Hopefully I can still get DD bedroom done which will leave me friday to do our bedroom

havent managed to do my flylady bit yet today as I've started to feel a bit sicky:eek: think it was due to cleaning out OH's pigeons (he's got a bad back) and inhaling quite a bit of dust(no mask:rolleyes: ) have had a horrible taste in my mouth since.
This morning I did manage to give the washing machine a good clean and I've also made tea(cauliflower cheese) as well as 3 loads of washing so not a totally wasted day!

Will try a bit harder tomorrow!;)

I am having to do some serious decluttering and cleaning as I am moving in 2 weeks time and not done anything about it yet! . I am going to completly declutter every room and do flyladys detailed cleaning once that is done. Have done our bedroom :T . Today is declutter the spare room/office as I cant walk into it without falling over something(not good when I have a balance problem anyway!) And catch up on the mountian of washing and handwashing to do(not sure how to hand wash either, will have to phone my mum) ARGHHH  . Hopefully bf will help once he gets home from work seeing as there is no football on tonight!! :j

I got a new toy yesterday in the form of a steam press. Like new things so for the first time in three years(since ds was born) I can see the bottom of the ironing pile! :j

I have just ruined it by putting yet another load in the machine this morning but it felt good while it lasted.... I can almost see the bottom of the washing pile as well ;) .

On another front has anyone read the sink reflections flylady book? Is it worth the money?

hex I would definitely say the book is worth it, I bought my copy from Amazon. It's a lot easier to get on with than the website.

Back to the grindstone today. Going to work on DD bedroom as I didnt get round to it last week. First I need to go to Argos and pick up a bookshelf to put in the large gap moving the toy box has left.

    Priorities are

    1. Paintwork
    2. Large pile of clothes on the chair sorted into keeps and charity shop.
    3. Box up and put away small car seat
    4. Find new home for hoover.

Have fun everybody and keep on flying :A

Fulfilled my challenge to clean the porch last night. Now all de-cobwebbed. :j

Also very pleased with myself - last night the cold water in the bathroom taps and the toilet cistern reduced to a trickle  OH is in Hong Kong, then Vietnam and Bangkok and won't be back for ten days so I spent quite some time prowling the loft, tapping pipes etc and checking for blockages. Rang my dad who suggested it was an airlock in the pipes and how to cure it. I did it and it worked:T

If he doesn't watch out OH will find himself redundant when he gets back - I won't need him any more:rotfl:
