I had a burst of energy yesterday so I decided to join in, got loads done
Ripped out the horrid hearth round the fire, shifted all the furniture round. Tidied everywhere, had two binbags, one for chucking out and one for selling/giving away. And got the whole lounge blitzed.
Then we realised we had no-where to store the bag of stuff to flog so then decided to clear out the under the stair cupboard, threw out loads of stuff from under there (isnt it amazing how much junk you accumalate ) and put stuff back and had more that half the cupboard left clear. Then I turned round and decided the kitchen needed sorting.
The kitchen table is old and what was left from the last person that lived here but kept it because it would have made a nice refurb job. But all it because was a dumping ground for everything, so we ripped that up and then moved the tumble from the other side of the room so now that alcove can be used for the babys pram/highchair/junk.
So barring the porch I got 2 and a half (understairs is big so classed it as half a room) rooms done in a day :j So much more tidier and having got rid of the hearth and sterio cabinet and table, its also less to dust/clean.
Thanks for starting this thread :jWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -

Bellie - I know it's a bit off topic, but was wondering how you got on with the bank charges thing?

Did some stuff on Wed. Thurs I have a shorter day and I just couldn't be bothered. I was at a real loose end didn't know what to do with myself but couldn't be bothered with housework either. Kept telling myself I'd do it all on Friday when kids are out of house for longer. Friday came 2 visitors, relatives rang for long chats calls and nursery rang to say DD had been sick and would I come and collect her, she spent rest of day throwing up so I didn't get anything done.
I have now learnt my lesson about putting things off. Soz moggins:o0
