15_1_70v.gif Moggins, good to hear from you - hope things are a bit better at home.

Cha97michelle - well done for getting ahead with the classroom.

Snowy - Do you think you got it done quicker because you F/L it the other day? Good on you for cracking on with it - all I could do when I got home after a full days work was fall asleep!

Nicki - I can imagine being without water is driving you loopy. Ours went off with no warning a couple of months ago - I'd spent the morning doing h/w in jamiies and was in dire need of shower and hair wash, and typically that's when it went off. Kept being told it would be back on in 20 mins - all day. Fingers crossed it'll be back to normal tomorrow for you.

Stuck to my word and did another load of washing today and then F/L my messiest kitchen cupboard and two deep drawers. Didn't throw everything past it's BBE because my cupboards would be bare!!
Going to do a post on here at some point to see what the general consensus would be for various items passed their dates.

I also ...... ironed!!!!!!! I haven't done this in months because my little tykes have simply been pulling things from drawers, dumping on the floor and then 'tidying' their rooms by dumping it back in the wash. Of the things that didn't end up on the floor most became creased again as they were all crumpled in the drawers where they'd been rummaging.
My DS3 even comented on how nice the clothes felt as I gave him a pile to put away! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway, lush dinner was had, all dishes are away, and todays load is dry and awaiting ironing. Hey, I did one lot didn't I! Rome weren't built in a day y'know!
Keep up the good work all!

OK - i've pushed myself to do another load of washing, sorted out three that i will get done tomorrow while off work, and sorted some paperwork off the table into recyclables and shredded stuff. I'll run that through the shredder the next trip upstairs that i do.

DH also changed the oil in his car. Does that count???

Thanks Kaz for being a constant drip of motivation. Between you and moggins i will keep at it, and by the time the baby is here i may be a born organised. As moggins says, we need time to enjoy ourselves, andthis should create it. Congratulations to you on the ironing. I hate that task with a passion and would love to just do a couple of items as they come off the airer.

I was also curious snowy, did the kitchen tidy up take less hours than last time? I must say i had to laugh when i heard your window cleaner story. Made me think. I normally just leave the bedroom curtains shut so they can't see the mess. I didn't have the mess today, but left the curtains shut out of habit. :rotfl:

Lol, glad you carried on there and mentioned motivation :p :rotfl:

I used to do this too - and as my living room is like a 'goldfish bowl' due to a large window I've told the boys off many a time for opening the curtains in the morning (and in the aftrenoon a few times too :o )

Now when I get up one of the first things I do is open my curtains to show that my house is nice and tidy!!!

Tomorrows load is already in W/M. Even made some lush fairy cakes tonight - one set with strawberry and white chocolate, another set as 'queens' (sultanas). Made 26, only got 6 left.... well, I need the energy for tomorrows F/L!!!
OK, DS is trying to reclaim the pc. Going to have a quick nosey around OS then an early night.
    G'night all!

OK - todays to do list to keep me on track. I know i probably won't achieve it all today, but if i can by friday night when DH is back from work trip i will be ecstatic.)

    kitchen
    • put away last nights dishes
    • hoover up cat biscuits (for some reason they can't eat without getting them all over the kitchen floor)
    • wipe kitchen sides

    laundry
    • 2 loads of DH's clothes to do
    • 1 load of towels
    • 1 load of my stuff (make the most of being off work)

    Living room
    • file away my lesson plans that are accumulating at a rate of knotts.
    • fnd Barclaycard insurance bill and sort that out by cancelling.
    • try and clear banking paperwork off the coffee table

    school work
    • write year seven reports
    • write year eight reports
    • mark year ten coursework
    • start writing a scheme of work with a deadline of Friday
    • write out my lesson plans for the rest of the week

I'd also if possible like to make my councelling appointment at 4:15, do some ironing, wash my hair, and take a trip to my parents to pick up their wallpaper steamer and help my little bro with his coursework. Oh, and also find time to have a healthy meal that i will have to cook for myself with DH being away.

Not that much then. ;) OK I'd best start cracking the whip at myself and make a start. I'll report back later with my progress.

Michelle - by the sound of what you are doing now a small baby will be a rest!

What I have found now I have done flylady for a few months is that with the longterm mess gone I can keep on top of the problem in fifteen minutes most days - even with family who do not accept that they should have any contribution to cleaning or ever putting anything away.

Get as much of the indepth cleaning done now as far as you can, then use the short daytime sleeps to do fifteen minute cleans before you have a cup of tea. Also try and get your baby into a routine - we do 7 till 7 so I get evenings for sanity.

    Good luck with everything.

I've been feeling really down about not being able to carry on with the challenge (my heart has decided to beta to its own peculiar rhythm and the doc has told me to rest until I see a cardiologist next week).

However, I have been swishing and swiping my bathroom and keeping the kitchen sink shiny. In fact a friend of DS asked him yesterday if we'd got a new sink. Don't know whether to feel pleased or ashamed because it was always such a mess before.

I'm quite cross with myself, as i made myself reheated HM chicken curry with rice. I managed to pour rice onto the kitchen floor that i had hoovered, and also boil the pan of rice over the cooker top. That now needs adding to the list of stuff to do.

cha97michelle - don't give yourself a hard time, you were probably exhausted from all you'd done! IT won't take a moment to wipe up the floor and wipe off the extra mess on the cooker. You've done really well today. I on the other hand..... well, it's too late now, I'll disturb the children!!
