Cobwebs...when you think about it, they are amazing feats of engineering! It does seem a shame to dismantle them with a shake of a duster. Well, that's my excuse when I'm denying being lazy...

Next time my SIL points one out in my house, I shall use this excuse! :D Thanks Snowy Owl :T

What am I saying  moggins is online! There will be no cobwebs in my FL'd house:rotfl:

    Oh it's all gone wrong :o .

I'm glad I'm not the only one then :o

I got my downstairs toilet, ensuite, bathroom, utility room & dining room done but I didn't get everywhere done. (oh, and half of my bedroom!)

Maybe I'll make my FLC a month long one :D

Thursday was supposed to be a good day but it all went horribly wrong when I picked my girls up from school on Thurs  Long story!

I was at work all day Friday and was too tired when I got home, I've worked 9-7.30pm today & I'm back in work at 10 tomorrow  I finish at 5pm on Monday so I might finish my bedroom then. On Tuesday I'm off so I could do a room then.

Yep, hand him a duster and get him to do the coffee table and the front of the telly, they love doing this and helping mummy at that age.

If you have any laminate floors sit him on a microfibre floor cloth and get him to bum shuffle across the floor.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I've got living room about 3/4 done and made a start on hall/stairs/landing. I'll definately be continuing with this next week, partly cos I had a big build up of stuff due to last 6 months studying and partly cos I find it difficult to get much done on the days that 3yo is at home.

Next week due to architects visit and visit to DD school nursery I won't have quite as much time as I had this week but since my ultimate goal is for everything to be 100% as DS finishes for summer hols 3rd week in July I don't mind that I'm taking longer to finish.

Hi starlite...yeah, 'fraid wo** ugh nearly said it!! is that offensive! Well, it is for me anyway as I can't stand the b!tching and backstabbing specially when I'm the subject and the backstabbing is from the front. W*** is a necessary evil cos like most everyone else I need the income. It's not so easy to move on here in a v.small provincial town (not that it is that easy anywhere else). Spelling it w*** started as a bit of a joke and it has carried on.

Batgirl - nice to see a new face! I don't have any wondertips for you, though I'd suggest just concentrate on one room at a time and to tackle it in bursts of 15 minutes, or half an hour. Then try to maintain it at the level you left off - not so easy with a wee one but a quick scurry round before bed may be enough for maintenance purposes. This challenge is kind of based around https://www.flylady.org - though you can interpret it exactly as you wish.

SnowyOwl Towers is looking remarkably like it looked this time yesterday. That's because I have done nothing. Oh no...that's a lie! I baked some muffins last night, and I mean really, really baked them so that they are like burnt bricks with a tender middle. But you can't tell there was a domestic disaster as I have completely cleared all the ingredient packets and put all baking implements into the dishy, hidden the ash flavoured muffins under a teatowel and given the kitchen a good airing (ie opened the window, not hard!).

I'm off to see what I should turn my hand to now, bye bye!

Me and DH have had a mammoth day at it today. Approximately 41/2 hours in various rooms of the house. We are trying to decorate the living room/dining room, so i have had to empty the room first and bring it all upstairs. Cue opportunity for a big boogie.

    I've
    • got one load through the WM
    • emptied three boxes from my mums, sorting into keep, charity shop, bin
    • gone through several piles of work related stuff, trimming to 1/3rd of what there was.
    • gone through the cupboards/drawers in the wall unit binning old stuff, and condensing, putting everything back properly.
    • all ornaments downstairs packed away
    • all glasses wrapped and boxed
    • all pictures taken down and packed/brought upstairs
    • coffee table EMPTY (that never happens)
    • DH dismantled his hifi and boxed it up.
    • DH dealt with the dust from said hi-fi
    • DH went to supermarket to get bits for the week for us.
    • I'm currently camping upstairs trying to file/plan lessons for the week/write reports
upstairs is now a bit of a tip, but the amount of stuff that has gone, i am hopeful that with new storage space downstairs i will appear to be clutter free.

I needed a kick up the bum to prepare the house for the baby, although part of me wishes we could have waited for the school hols to start. I know it is going to be a tough slog for these laast few weeks, as we are due OFSTED in again so i can't really slack off.

Well, best stop the procrastinating and carry on or i will be working till midnight, then sleeping on the floor.

I will be continuing the challenge through the week, as no doubt there will be loads of dust from the DIY, and i'm assuming DH will be tired and i'll need to do it. ;)

Keep up the good work girls

Friday I finished cleaning the house right through :j Also managed to spend 2+ hours in the garden planting out the end of my bedding plants and watering them in then washing down the paving as much as possible to get rid of all the broken glass that was out there. ;) Finally came back inside at 9.20 and noticed the time so I missed all my gardening programmes. How time flies when your having "fun"

So I've taken the weekend off. :D Spent yesterday in bed until 11.20  then took a long and lazy pamper session and didn't get dressed until 3pm gone :D that was after getting in the bath at 2.30 :p But I also made 4 batches of pancakes with DD yesterday to use up the end of the eggs that were in the fridge AND some of my powdered milk. Would you believe I was still making them up at 11pm last night, thats after I started playing my game on the computer at 7pm and remembered there was still batter sitting in the kitchen at 9pm :o Also got DD to help me make Tuna Pasta Bake (Homepride jar :o ) so she was kept busy. Only did one load of laundry yesterday and thats mainly dried now and waiting to be ironed.

Today, OH made the breakfast (bacon butties - toasted bacon butty for me  ), I've done 2 loads of washing but had to hang them inside as it started pouring down, now I just can't be bothered hanging it outside :p:rotfl: and I'm making cauliflower-cheese-a-la-nicki for tea (cauliflower, broccoli, bacon & a jar of 4-cheese sauce with some grated cheese over the top to turn golden under the grill  ) Oh, and I swiped the bathroom this morning :D

No deep cleaning for me, and I'll "fly" through the house on Monday morning before I start on the longstanding "I don't want to do it but it really needs to be done" jobs. Could really do with sorting out some of DD's clothing as she's had a growth spurt, again, but I need her about to work out what does and doesn't fit  That might have to wait until the school holidays.

Off to play my game ... again :o Laters
