:T I cleaned my living room today :T

Skirting boards, washed walls  , hoovered under sofa & chairs, polished & de-cluttered.

OMG - I'm proud of myself :rotfl:

Thing is - how do I tell my family they aren't allowed in there EVER again? ;)

My daughter has been off school today so I've had to have the day off work so today was a bonus day - I'm glad I made the most of it!
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

    • British Gas have got our meter readings ready for changing over - phone call - 3 mins :D :j
    • Powergen as above - had to phone this one in as their website isn't working for me  Couldn't understand the girl (too much background noise her end and she wasn't very clear either  ) so that took 7 minutes, mainly on hold
    • Phoned Life Insurance company up to check what address they had for us :o We moved in May/June 2004 and the only letter I've been able to find said that they had my parents address as our address as we used it as a c/o when we didn't know where we were moving too (oh the stress those couple of months :rolleyes::eek: ) They have got the up-to-date address :j
    • Double checked the small print on a letter from National Insurance People about whether I'm covered by HMR (? can't rememeber what it is now :rotfl: ) and I am :j
I've also entered all my gas/electricity bills from British Gas into my bills spreadsheet so thats now up-to-date. :D

Just going to have a sort out of the tax-credit paperwork, then tomorrow (due to the time it is now:o ) I'll set too on the statements and notebook. :D It feels so good to see an empty "to-do" file :D

Hi! this is my first day of the challenge!:D
My goals today were to file all the paperwork I have been avoiding:rolleyes: and to deep clean the bathroom.
The first one is done and am about to start the second!:j

I clean little and often usually.I like to have a mad hour from 8 till nine then take it easy for a bit.I work shifts, 7am till 5 pm or 11am till 10pm so its not always easy to stick to a regular schedule on work days and only the essentials get done but I do a lot more on my days off!;)

Back later when I've completed my tasks!:D

Bedroom as complete as it gets today, I want to watch the footie:D

Just also want to say there is NOTHING sinister in the fact that although DH started with less clothes than me, I seem to have found more of his to discard than mine!!:rotfl: I must look after mine better than him!:D ( or could it be that I buy more than him. Surely not!;) )

Has anyone got a threat that works on 2 and 3 years old? oldest says 'but I am helping' in his most injured tone when questioned about suspicious mess that has re-appeared in living room. He has inherited a belief in cleaning fairies.....
I started doing this routine a few months ago, the house still isn't tidy all of the time but it does get quicker and easier as you shift the long term junk. My dh does complain (quietly) as I keep filling the trailer for him to take to the tip. What he doesnt realise is that I keep doing 27 item fling on his stuff - if he hasnt noticed yet then he cant 'love' any of it!

Hi all, hopefully just a quick note to let you all know I'll be back on board as of tomorrow.
although house is allready looking untidy again (two days of day trips) I was feeling fairly optimistic that tomorrow I could quickly be in control again with a good 'blessing' ..... but then I read nicky's post and remembered all the pressing paperwork_pale_
TBH I think I'm so tired from the great day out yesterday that everything seems extra urgent and massive, IYKWIM.
Snowy - loved your post, made me chuckle! Great going lots of you too :T :T :T - well done. I know I said last week that I'd get to it today (Monday) but I'd forgotten that I'd promised to take DS3 out for the day.
Feeling the pressure of needing to 'bless' the house, do weekly shop and complete urgent paperwork. I'll try to get a decent nights kip tonight and hopefully priorities will be a little clearer in the morning.
Really sorry if I'm waffling... I'm very, very tired :o
    Well worth it tho' :D
