I shall be with you all again don't worry, the next weeks project is actually very small and is a way of stopping all our hard work going down the pan :D
    Moggins.....thank you!
I don't post very often, but read most days. Since Monday I have decluttered and deep cleaned all of my house except laundry room - now full of junk (oops, wonderful items) to sell on car boot sale in week and DD's room as she's still taking A level exams and I know she WILL do it herself when the exams are over (only 2 to go). DH, bless him has helped non stop since finishing w**k on Fri.
I'm looking forward to your post tomorrow so that I can keep my lovely clean house.
Thank you again for your inspiration.

i am so pleased there are other people like me who leave the housework. i have more important things to do, like look for bargains on MSE. However, I will be trying to do a little housework each night now. I have just found this thread on post of the month and must admit i now feel a bit more motivated to tidy up, declutter and sort out those bills.
    Just about to give up!

Right flyladies who's doing what today?

DS4 returned from uni yesterday so have plenty of "mess" to clear today!
But on another note he's now finished, no more tuition fees, no more student rent, etc etc :D:D:D:D :j :D:D:D:D

Want to empty, sort, dispose of junk, and arrange neatly the contents of our (DH and mine) wardrobes and drawers today. So much laundry to deal with may not get it all done, but anything will be an improvement!;)

Suppose if I get off here and start there's more chance of finishing. Besides which my space bar is hardly registering and I have to keep going back to insert them

I'm going to do the kitchen as soon as DD will let me either by going to sleep or I may have to try the electronic babysitter in the corner aka the TV.

Kitchen will included pulling out the cooker, and the inside of the fridge plus the top of the cupboards.

    Good luck everyone

I was going to tackle under the bed today but DH has retired to the bedroom and it looks likes he's staying put there for the rest of the day :(

But so far I have washing in the dryer, another load on, the downstairs and half the stairs hoovered and the toilet, bathroom, rear passage and kitchen floor mopped, in between catering to DD's every need, the dishwasher is loaded and I am taking a little break while the floor dries then the living room will be dusted, I will shove another wash on and then sort something out for tea.

Oh and the junk basket (mail) is now emptied of everybodys bits, toys, rubbish etc.

I'm still trying to get the blooming paperwork finished. At least I've got the Tax-credits sorted out...for now. Need to ring them back on Wednesday apparently to check whether something has been put on the system

Still to do as far as paperwork is concerned :
    • Scan bank statements or at least file them under the appropriate financial year (just got the box file to do that ;) )
    • Go through my "to-do" file and DO IT.
    • Make up my Household notebook
      • Update any emergency info - including "Child Emergency Info" (most recent photo, height etc)
      • Add school section with calender info etc.
      • Update Family directory - including finding addresses etc so I have a papercopy of our address book
      • Paper copy of budget PER MONTH between now and April (take into account a couple of bills which are irregular) ~ will also include (some will go in another file, hidden):
        • Make up banking checklist - which bank / account numbers etc - Private file
        • Making copies of cards carried in wallet/purse so all info is available if they get lost - private file
        • Bill tracking info - papercopy - including account numbers etc
        • Insurance information
        • Location of important papers - private file.
        • Employment records & bank statements
      • Website registration info - only for joint "accounts" like Tesco, Post Office etc
      • Packing lists / before we leave list (set timers, switch on radio etc)
      • Bookmarks - papercopy
      • Clothing inventory - helps at Christmas/birthday to know what people need ;)
      • Menu planner - include printing out recipes from here on A5/A6 size paper (4 to an A4 page ;) ) so they can be put in my Old Style recipe book.
      • Check/update on household receipts - especially recent purchases.
      • Chores list - weekly/monthly/seasonal
      • Ideas for gifts - print out from websites
    • Household Inventory - copy to be kept in the private file. We always start this but never seem to finish it. It's going to be my Flylady challenge for the week ;) 20 minute bursts :p
I guess I should really get on with it. Fortunately, most of it is just a case of hitting Print when I find the right file on the computer. :D:rotfl:

Today my challenge is related to the fact that we are going on holiday on Thursday. I want to get all the frozen food into just one of the freezers, so have defrosted the fridge/freezer first. I am hoping everything will fit just into that one (if not we are likely to have something quite interesting for dinner tonight to make it fit!!!!)
Then I can defrost the big freezer & leave it empty while we are away. I also want to do an inventory of what's there so I don't buy stuff I don't need.
Aprat from that it's a matter of keeping up with the laundry - I still have some ironing from the day before we went away for the weekend, plus all the stuff from the weekend, and anything else we need for Thursday......
It should keep me occupied & out of mischief for a while....!!

Progress is good but I am wasting time inventing cruel and unusual punishments for the rest of the household who keep untidying behind me....

That's okay, inventing cruel and unusal punishments is a fun job that I normally fit in whilst I'm hoovering :D

Dusting is now done and I am off upstairs to pick up in DD's room which got trashed when she had her friends round last week. I was running in and out with the sick bowl yesterday screaming everytime I trod on a bead :(
