I worked all day yesterday then had a meeting last night, the most I managed to do was wash up :o

I'll get started on the lounge after work. I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and I've decided to do nothing on sunday so our bedroom will be done on monday. I'm not touching the kids' rooms - they're teenagers and it's just too scary to open their bedroom doors :D

Most of the ebay stuff is finished just 2 items left for me to type up and I need to photograph/weigh/postage-cost the things OH did for me last night :D I'll spell check them before uploading them (also need to make sure the pics are right) and then they can be listed for 10 days. Now realised that I missed the 10p listing day yesterday :wall: but at least my items won't be finishing at the same time as everyone elses...at least thats my excuse :rotfl:

Need to do the weekly clean today so thats :
    • general tidy in everyroom as I come to it
    • Hoover/dust/windows x 2 bedrooms
    • Clean bathroom (incl. hoovering carpet - too cold without one  )
    • Hoover/dust stairs/landing/hallway (tiny, but always the dirtiest)
    • Hoover/dust/windows - livingroom
    • Hoover/wipe down kitchen
    • Quick mop of livingroom / kitchen /hall floor
    Also
    • Still have some dishes to do :o
    • Shops for milk, spread & bananas (post putting daughter into school)
    • Ironing - didn't have time to finish yesterday
    • Play some more of my game. Okay so it's not essential, but I'll play it during my lunch break with a timer set, and this time I will stop when the timer goes off :rotfl:
Summer Fair at school today but I won't be going. I donated enough, let some other muggings go and buy my [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] stuff. I don't need it...now the Christmas one will be a different matter as I can pick up small pressies then ;)

Need to go and get DD's face washed and speed her up...again. :laters:

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Big thanks to Moggins..and everyone else whos doing this challenge!
I came across it yesterday morning, read the whole thread and couldn't help but switch the p.c off and spend the entire day cleaning!

I realised I haven't done any thorough cleaning since before my baby was born..and he's now 6 months old..eek!

So I did our bedroom, I cleaned the window inside and out, cleaned the blind, finally put the summer duvet on, washed down the skirting board, sills, shelves and door, wet vac- ed the carpet and rug, bagged up clothes for the charity shop and ebay, reorganised the drawers and wardrobe, and put up some new pictures. Feeling very proud, and baby was an angel playing in his cot and watching me..

    no excuses anymore..lol!

Today I'll start with the bathroom, which is big and fully tiled so will be quite some work!
    Good luck everyone!

    Morning :D

Ok - apart from keeping on top of the room s I have already FLC'd (LR, DR, my bedroom, bath and en suite) I intend to do my hall, stairs and landing. That's a huge amount of carpet which needs hoovering and then washing cos it's really filthy, as well as a large plate rack with all the plates and other nick-naks which need washing, plus 14 doors which need washing down and generally de-grubbing. I could do with repainting up the walls where the boys use them instead of the bannisters, but I fear this will wait for another day.

Best get showered and started then :D

I WILL finish this room today, which also means moving that pile of toys that have gradually worked their way out of the liing room but haven't made it tothe boys bedrooms and also i have a bureau on the landing that needs a good declutter - but I can always bring the drawers down in front of the tv tonight if I run out of time.

Hmmm - nuggets and chips for tea I think :D:D

I keep looking and admiring my now tidy kitchen :D . Today I'm going to tackle the other half of the dining room. There are really only 2 surfaces, built in desk with shelves and top of fridge freezer but both are chock a block with paper-work, college work etc. . Once this bit is done the rest of the downstairs should be a doodle in comparison, but this bit will take hours  , so not setting myself any goal of acheiving more than this today.
  • Right my first day today!! I'm scared!!! lol!!!

I am going to first of all do the washing up from breakfast, at least if my kitchen is tidy then I'll be happy! :D

I am then going to start on my airing/junk cupboard!! Have plans as to where to start after that but want to see if I can do that first!! lol!!

    Will update later!!

Over and out for now fellow fly ladies!!

Just having a breather (and a lovely piece of mature cheddar :D)

I've emptied and washed my plate rack and picture rails. All ornaments, plates etc have been washed and/or polished as appropriate as has my 70's stainless steel light fitting - which looks shiny and rather 'cool' now :D Most of my bits and pieces have now been replaced but DS2 keeps wanting to help and I don't want a 4 yo vying for position on me step ladder, holding a piece of moorcroft :D

On the plus side, he has washed down both stepladders (he had to have his own) but he did use the pan scrubber and a clean tea towel. Anything to keep them quiet tho :)

Ok, kettle on, DS2 to be fed and taken to pre-school then on with the carpets. (Best check the WM and TD whilst I make a cuppa tho - no rest here ;))

Morning purpleprincess - good luck with the FL challenge!

I haven't done very well so far today, I was due to get up at 7am, slept through the alarm and woke at 11!! Going back to work on Monday after six weeks off will be a shock.

I have to admit that I love writing 'to-do' lists, so will indulge myself:
    • Load of washing and ironing
    • Clean kitchen (cousin cooked curry last night and though he thinks he has cleaned it....he hasn't quite!); mop floor
    • Bathroom once over
    • Sort out TES subscription (can I get a discount?)
    • Apply for fee, course and disabilitiy funding for part-time course
    • Sort out my maths folder - create a plan of action for completing work
    • Research getting a better rate on my ISA alowance and transfer this year's allowance over
    • Send in job application for my own job! (don't you just love restructuring?)
    • Phone disability unit re: assessment
    • Create a car folder
    • 3 hours studying for degree
    • make bed
I know there aren't a lot of FL things in the list, but helps me stay focused :D

I agree with what others say about having a proud feeling when you see the rooms are still tidy/clean. Mine have now been that was since Sunday!! Ok, apart from the kitchen blip due to lovely cousin which I will sort out later.

Hi hi, late start for me again. One of my freezers is defrosted, just switched it off at 8 this morning and came home from walk to a huge puddle on kitchen floor, so that didnt take long. Gonna give it a quick wipe then switch it back on and defrost dogs freezer. I've only got my kitchen to clean today, its just a small room so shouldnt take me too long (famous last words) Then I'm gonna hoover right through, give bathroom a quick once over, then mop all floors, and thats me done for today.
Nice to see everyones still up for it, its been so rewarding this week, especially when the family come home and comment on how nice everything looks.

I've fallen by the wayside..I put all the towels in to wash, sprayed down all the tiles and grouting / sealant with my magic spray and 'left it to soak' and have been on the p.c / phone for the last hour..must get back on track! lol
