There is a use by date printed on the vouchers (2 years after issue) , i think you can ring before they expire and they will extend them0

hi all,
this maybe a silly question but I did try to find the answer and couldn't find any. I have just shopped online with Tesco because they are giving 1000 points when spending more than £50. I have spend about £70 (excluding delivery) in total but because there are some expansive items (such as organic chicken, seafood). I wonder if I will still get the extra points if some products aren't available and they couldn't find replacement, which brings the spending below £50 when it's delivered.
Should I play safe and order more item? can I reject any unwanted item (without any reason) to bring the total spending back to around £50?
thanks for answering in advance.0 -
Hello, sorry if this is in the wrong thread, as not technically a 'boost your points".
However, as I do not use the deals that Tesco offer on the clubcard vouchers, I see mine on ebay. I have just had someone ask if they can use them for their groceries. They have my name on them, but can someone else scan them at the till to get money off their shopping.
Agreed, they are not getting the best possible value from them, but I just need to answer his question he is asking.
Thanks
I would guess that if he pays with cash and doesn't try to get any clubcard points whilst spending them then no one would really know. Not a definite answer but that would seem to make sense.0 -

No sorry he can't do this. The checkout operator has to check that customers clubcard matches the voucher being used. Often they do not check but a clubcard must be used or the till rejects the clubcard voucher.0 -

I had my delivery last night and the total spend before bogof/multi-buy deductions was below £50 due to some items no available. The points are shown on the receipt.

Can someone tell me how I can get a separate Clubcard account for my husband who is added to mine at the moment? Can he just apply for a new one or will they query it because he already has a card in his name? Hi!
I'm new to clubcard points and I got my statement in the post this morning. I have coupons for extra points etc. and I have a 6.50£ coupon which works out as 24£ in deals. However, I was hoping to save more points in order to afford a weekend away at some point. So my question is, do you have to spend your coupons every few months when you get them in the post or can you save them up for years? I'm at uni at the moment and I was hoping that I could not touch my points for the whole time I'm here and hopefully be able to get something nice in three years with my hopefully 1000's of points. Does this make sense? My point balance on my receipts have now gone back down to 222 points.
Good for you and your longterm strategy, JellyTot.
First, £6.50 = £26 in Deals.
Next - immediately ring Head Office Freephone on 0800-505555 and ask for a Clubcard Plus application.
It may take a couple or more weeks, but it's well worthwhile.
As Martin says elsewhere here, it's a little publicised DOUBLE POINTS ON SPEND Clubcard. I now have mine - mostly green coloured, identical to a bank/credit card. You must ensure a minimum monthly Direct Debit of £1 and can top up with cash at CS as you enter a store, to cover your shopping.
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A KEY FOB CARD(Security reasons, they say) as Clubcard Plus represents cash in your a/c, for which you'll rceive Statements. If you want/need to pay by other means, in part or in whole, STILL PRESENT YOUR CLUBCARD PLUS, SAYING 'Points only, please.'
Another point, you'll know that you receive extra points for using your own bags, but using Bags for Life gives Double Points, too.(These are also renewed free of charge when they 'die'.)
You can usually find a few of these in the Bag recycling banks outside most stores - remember you can use ANY firm's bags, or homemade ones.
With regard to Clubcard Vouchers, they have an expiry date on them, usually two years from issue, but once again, you can use HO Freephone and ask for them to be extended, if need be. CHECK ON THIS. POLICIES CHANGE - AS POSTED EARLIER, Mr T is clamping down on ebay sales/conversions of vouchers/tokens.
I have had 3 excellent instances of Clubcard help and service(in contrast with some other Mr T experiences)and make sure I thank them and distinguish the ones from the others.
GOOD LUCK JellyTot.
-final p.s. I keep a Mr T envelope with me at all times with Vouchers, points posts, tillspits, wombles etc. JOIN ALL THE CLUBS YOU CAN FOR FURTHER POINTS OPPORTUNITES.
