18185 Local Calls Mischarging

I've just tried (using 18185) phoning a local UK landline number (that I've called hundreds of times before) and the announcement at the start of the call is telling me that it costs 10p per minute (rather than the usual 'this is a free phone call'). Is anybody else getting this?
Thanks
Thanks

Yes. Same here. "Zero p per minute" has been replaced with "Ten p per minute."Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Same with me and I can't get through to the numbers dialled.
I've checked on their web site and it still shows zero pence per minute.0 -
I've just had the 10p per minute message too.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0

However, on checking my online calls record, a 25 minute call earlier this morning only cost the correct 5p.
I've sent a message to 'Customer Services' via the web form on www.18185.co.uk and another via the web form on www.call1899.co.uk but am not holding my breath.
1899 has the same fault but, strangely, 18866 does not.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. This seems to have just started about midday.
A call at 11:41 was charged correctly (5p connection charge).
A call at 12:18 was 10p per minute plus the 5p connection charge.0 -
That seems right - my first call today at 1150hrs was charged at 65p. for nearly 6 minutes.Richard123 wrote: »This seems to have just started about midday.

As Heinz says 18866 is still saying 'Zero pence per minute'.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -
Sounds like it may be worth switching to 18866 until they've sorted this one out, rather than having to rely on them correcting the billing at some point.Richard123 wrote: »A call at 12:18 was 10p per minute plus the 5p connection charge.Stompa0 -
I've had a 1minute 33s call charged out to me at 25 pence on 18185 at 12.30pm today.
As others are finding, the connection message says '10 pence a minute'.
I'm with BT - are they stopping access to 18185?0 -
I wouldn't have thought so. The announcement is surely originating from 18185 rather than BT?TraySelect wrote: »I've had a 1minute 33s call charged out to me at 25 pence on 18185 at 12.30pm today.
