    It would be interesting to see the percentage of good ones to rogue ones.

    I get the impression that this was bought as a job lot of returns and they have not been actually individually tested and refurbished.

    Mine should arrive tomorrow. It would be nice if it worked well.

    There are lots of articles via Google on how to replace the internal capacitors on the PSU, upgrade the HDD and even add a USB socket on the back.

    They are not too expensive on Thiefbay, and you may get a better one?

    Yes, good news - e-mail from Customer Services today:
    Please arrange to send this item to us. We will refund up to a maximum of £11.75 for the cost of the returns postage. Please keep your receipt for the postage we may ask for this as proof of postage. You can redeem this cost once the item has been authorized by our returns department for a refund/replacement/repair.

    Got mine today. Initial view is that it looks to work ok, couple of minor blemishes. Looks like a new remote and new handbook.

    Found I had no signal strength at all to start with, but a scan of the channels found them all, and eventually signal strength was around 55-60% on both tuners.

    Seems to record ok. If it carrys on working I'll be happy.

    I got one of these today, and it seemed to work fine.
    Three hours down the line and I can't switch tuners. Any idea if I've done something wrong, or is it faulty?


    Got it sorted now.

    Looks to me like they are circling stock... soon be down to 20 units and 3 month warranty ;)
  • I notice the FRVT200 is now down to £54 at Microdirect, with the bigger disc and the better firmware that may be the way to go.

    Taking another look the FVRT150 is available for £49, dunno about the firmware but it's also got an 80Gb disc

    My FRVT100 had the already mentioned problem of tuner 2 not working at all.
    I returned it on Friday and received an email this morning to say the replacement is being sent out.
    I was quite impressed with the box with the somewhat limited functionality it had, so heres hoping my new one works perfectly.
