whilst it isnt an amasing amount they have given it was good of them to offer it really, not being funny but she diddnt have a leg to stand on really, you have done something very postive for other people in the future too, that being as from next year all cards will be protected so thats something good that has come out of it.

I really feel for your mum especially happening at this time of year usually these summy gits are on drugs or something, what comes around goes around or is it the other way around? am sure theyll get theyre come uppance at some point in theyre life.

I know dollop - I didn't even expect them to bother replying to my email. But as I say what was upsetting me most was that there was no way of stopping the scum from using the card. But he may not even have used it - he may have thrown it away in which case (in theory) Mam had paid £90 into Asdas bank account....my thought was that surely if the card was not used after a while they would see on their systems a card that was topped up to Mams total in her area that all of a sudden became dormant? In that case they could issue a full refund and everyone would be happy. But they didn't respond to that comment lol.

    However £20 IS £20 :)

Glad the outcome was positive, even if Mum didn't get back the full amount.
It is also good to see that Asda have decided to register all cards in future (you can be proud of yourself that you played a small part in that)

Best wishes to you & your Mum for a happy & prosperous New Year
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T
  • Hi everyone. I'm Dawnylou's mam. I would just like to thank you all for your support. It's really nice to think that there are still some kind people in this world in which we have to live. I'm really proud of what Dawnylou has done for me. I'm still disappointed with Asda, but to me as far as I'm concerned £20 is better than nothing at all. I didn't even know the card had to be registered. When I first got the card I wasn't even given the terms and conditions, therefore I thought with a big chain like Asda my savings would be safe, obviously I was wrong. I'm now just waiting to see what the changes to the savings cards are going to be. Again I would like to thank you all. God Bless everyone of you and I hope you all have a Happy New Year. xxxx
