This is her op

I have pmed Mse Dan and we can discuss how to email Asda and Captain cash BUT
NOT Donations/Money etc.

Can we please respect that.

This is the letter:

Have an idea, whilst other avenues are explored but need Dawny to give us a name or ref number if she lodges a complaint.

andrew.bond@asda.co.uk ( this email is freely available on the net)

Dear Andrew Bond

I am appalled at the treatment of a friends mother, who after a mugging lost her purse and her xmas savings card.

At this time of year no-one can afford such a loss.

The ladys peace of mind is totally shattered, are you going to shatter her christmas as well?

I understand fully replacing the card is against Asdas' terms normally.

But this is the season of goodwill and Asda likes to help local communities, Please consider as a gesture of goodwill helping this Lady.

I am one of many that will be sending this email, hoping Asda will sit up and take note.

Regards

If Dawny gives us a last name we can all incude that and she can also email and state the case from her mothers side, if we all collectively email we might get somewhere xxx

    I like this, it's a fab idea.
  • People power sounds great!

Just a question - is the card registered against a name or is just one of those that you pick up at the check-out (like a gift card) where you put money on it. Wondering if it is possible to cancel as they may not know which card is hers??

But believe that with all the money they make, they could give her vouchers or something as a gesture of goodwill??

I too think toniq's idea is a fantastic one but I was wondering the same as julie_scot. Most of the supermarket savings cards are not registered to a specific person I believe but rather a card which you can add money on and save up. If this were the case, how could they cancel the card? I am definitely willing to email if there is a possibility of cancelling the card and getting Dawnylou's mother issued with a replacement.

I'll email as well once we find out her surname, hopefully people power will push Asda into doing the right thing :)
