Heh - that is what we are here for. Glad that you feel less upset today. And also that the counselling is proving helpful.

    Sweet dreams tonight.

Goodness, I don't remember writing that, I was soooo upset last night. Yes, it did cross my mind to just walk, and I did look up directions, but will not be doing it - for now anyway.

These feelings are always there, under the surface bu only just. Strangely, they ofter pop out after a 'good' counselling session, which had yesterday.

I would not leave my employer in the lurch - and my unhappiness is inspite of her kindness, not because she is a wicked, cruel employer, constantly cracking the whip:rotfl:I actually feel guilty because I know she would 'make it all better' if she could.

Yes, I think that might be right (though would probably remove 'special').

Thanks for all the support on here, I am trying to be as normal as possible, but sometimes I need an outlet for my madness, an I'm afraid you tend to get it!

Mad away, better out than in. I sometimes plan the most exotic, expensive holidays imaginable, it's purely a release mechanism as I have no intention of going on them.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I don't know your situation and I'm not going to comment however, if the feelings pop up after counselling, let your counsellor know. You may be working through it all deep down in your mind where your not even aware of it. Write down as much as you can when it happens and take it to your next meeting. Plan for it happening next time and do something to keep your hands occupied but your mind relaxed, cleaning works for me.
  • hmm, a walk of faith...
my opinion is not to do it in this time of year, with dark nights and the risk of anything happening is too dangerous. even though you have worked out how many miles you could walk a day it never happens that way even the weather could slow you down. with not having much money how are you going to buy the supplies that you need or even buy equipment that your going to need for this journey?. if you are lucky then people may give you lifts to the next place but even that is dangerous in this day and age. please wait till the warmer weather if you have to do it......

just read this thread faith and have read some of your other threads..........I am so relieved to hear you arent going to walk home! I understand you feel you have been turned out of your home - but I also understand the reasoning behind it. faith - this is hard - I dont want to come across as harsh or unfeeling but, this is your test isnt it? didnt someone in the bible get cast out and wandered until he was deemed worthy to go home? and didnt they kill a fat calf? may have got that all wrong - its nearly fifty years since sunday school (presbyterian). but do you get the gist of what i mean?

I may have gone totally off on the wrong tangent, but you seem very focussed and driven person by your passions, so, is there anything you can do over the next 10 months that will fill the gap before hopefully going back to the convent, that can really occupy your mind and make your time outside more purposeful for you?

You could tell yourself you are going to raise a certain amount of money for charity, train for a marathon/ half marathon/ fun run, learn a new language, spend a few months travelling (it was you determination to walk to the convent that got me thinking).

Sorry if I have got it totally wrong.

I have thought of the 'Trek to Everest base camp' charity walks and not totally dismissed them, but they are actually expensive:eek:

I am learning Latin (well, had one lesson) and need to get into an exercise routine in the new year.

My employer has just offered me a roll mat and sleeping bag:rolleyes:
