I thought the earliest VIP slot last year was 6pm from memory? I logged in and could only register 6.30 then later on, it let me change to the earlier 6pm slot.

I got a slot for 6.30pm too - but I have just looked at the email and its says from 5pm. Chances are we looked at our emails just a smidgen too late and those earliest slots were gone - you gotta be quick - lol!!!
  • last year mine was at 5-5.30 & i booked it at 2.45pm. Good luck to everyone obsessively waiting like me,i am going to be soooo gutted if i dont get one

is anyone going to the instore sale for when it opens on boxing day?
i wont be, whether i get a vip online slot or not.
I used to be there at 4am, front of the queue but not this year with having a new baby, and its far too cold!

If I don't get a VIP, which is more than likely, I won't be tracing to the shops that early in the morning. Boxing day is a family day, plus i have a very rare 2 weeks off work, so the last thing I want to do is be up at the crack of dawn to go shopping! Also, not only does it interfer with our boxing day, but also our christmas day, as wouldn't be able to have too many tipples as would have to drive early the following morning. Yes, I love the Next sale, but my love is being put to the test, and my family, christmas and lie in win hands down
  • We are going to the sale first thing then doing the family bit later. I go while everyone still in bed so they dont even notice!

I will prob still go even if i do get a vip LOL

  • ....This year I will keep my fingers crosses but Boxing Day is for families not for shopping me thinks!

Last year I was home by 7.30am, before anyone in my family had even woken up! I got home and made them all a yummy breakfast to wake up to and then we went off to the Zoo with a membership we'd received as a Christmas gift.

You are right though, I would not go out shopping on Boxing Day if it interferred with spending time with my family. Lucky for me I can drive to and park at NEXT and be in and out before it get light out.

i second that. Its my babies first christmas and after the chaos of christmas day im looking forward to a relaxing boxing day with the kids playing with their toys.
yes the next sale is fab, but for me i only buy their kids clothes and if i have to i will just buy them throughout the year - skint being on maternity leave anyway!

  • Oh just read stores will be opening Boxing Day - that is poo as i really want to spend that time with family not shopping :( and i am the cook on Boxing day! Plus there are no trains on that day so i can't even get there if i wanted to (double :( )

Does anyone have any clue on Brighton? They are in the main shopping centre so do they still get to open Boxing day, or will they delay till the day after?
