NEXT VIP slots

I wouldn't bother with the whole "calling customer services" thing to try and find out. They seems to tell so many conflicting stories and its all going to come down to the same thing...when they finally update the accounts to let people login and book a VIP slot, either you have one or you don't...

is anyone going to the instore sale for when it opens on boxing day?
i wont be, whether i get a vip online slot or not.
I used to be there at 4am, front of the queue but not this year with having a new baby, and its far too cold!

Nope, I'll be gutted if I don't get a VIP slot (only because I've had one for the last 3 years, rather than thinking I'm due one!!) and it will take a bit of getting used to the idea of NOT having all the deliveries and sale items to get excited about during christmas....but if that happens, I won't be heading to the store...its like a gladiatorial fight...people go MAD in Next at sale time and I hate buying clothes without being able to try them on as its so hit and miss.

I am trying not to get my hope up, as a pretty newly registered account I am pretty sure I won't get one. It would be nice though! I got some really nice things for my kids in last years sale (by standing in line in the cold from 4.30 in the morning) and would love to be able to look more carefully ahead of time online (as opposed to a crazy mad dash around the shop like lat year).

Hi Mrs T - last year they started at 5pm on 22nd December - if you are a courier i think they start at 12 noon (my courier knows me so well we are now friends!!!)

If I don't get a slot (which I likely won't) I think I will. I got several nice party outfits etc for my three kids last year that have been really great to have. I would never have paid the full price for them, but if I can get them half price it really is worth it for me to go early and wait in line for a little while (I went at 4.30am last year and was about 5th in the queue. There are a couple bigger NEXT's here that are busier, but I go to a smaller one that gets fewer folks to the sale - although it is still buy!)

I had one last Christmas but not in the Summer - I had promised my daughter some bits in the summer and I was there at 4am to please her!!! God - what we do for our kids!!! This year I will keep my fingers crosses but Boxing Day is for families not for shopping me thinks!

I thought the earliest VIP slot last year was 6pm from memory? I logged in and could only register 6.30 then later on, it let me change to the earlier 6pm slot.

Not that it mattered if they did in fact start at 5pm, everything I wanted was in stock (even some half price electrical items that I wanted).

Next seems to be getting far more "brand" and other items like electrical stuff/leisure/home whereas a couple of years ago the sale was just clothes. Great for me as I tend to pick up a lot of christmas/birthday presents for the coming year.
