Please vaccinate your children!!!

All my children have been given all their jabs, but there must be something in their genes whic makes it ineffective.

My daughter caught rubella 2 years ago after having BOTH MMR jabs. That was bad enough.

But today I have been told that my 15 month old baby has got MEASLES!! This is because people are not vaccinating their children. You hear such horror stories about measles and that is why I chose, in good faith, to make sure none of my babies ever caught it.

Now I have to keep a special eye on him in case he "goes funny" (dr's words). I dread to think what might happen to him.

Yes these might be the rants of a hysterical mother who has had no sleep for 5 days due to having a poorly baby, but please please please get your children vaccinated.

Got no kids but just wanted to say I hope your litte one makes a speedy recovery.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

Both my kids have been vaccinated, thankfully.
Hope your baby gets better soon, and you can get a good nights sleep, this hot weather must be making things worse for the baby, its uncomfortable for them in any way, but being poorly as well must be awful for you all, take care.

Annie- Had your baby had their 1st MMR? We have had out-breaks here both of measles and mumps, eldest has had both MMRs but youngest only her first.
My son had a reaction to the measles part of MMR and was quite poorly with it around the same age as your child. I hope she is well soon.

Yes he had his first MMR about 2 months ago and was fine - no reaction at all. I think it must be something in our make-up as it has failed in 2 of my 3 children. It would be really bad luck to have 3 dud injections in the same family....

Thank you for your well wishes folks:)

  • How awful for you and your little one Annie. Best wishes for a speedy recovery :). My DD has had the 1st MMR but not the 2nd yet. As if we haven't got enough to worry about.

Annie Hope your little one gets better soon.

My youngest has had the first MMR - I had to take her for her MMR at the same time as my eldest had his second one - that was fun, both of them at the same time, but I figured just get it over with!

Oh no!! that must have been a fun day - NOT!

It's worse when they have their second MMR because they remember what you've done to them. Poor wee darlings. My dd2 wouldn't go near the dr after her 2nd MMR in case they "put a pin in her bum"

My two have both had all theirs and my DD is due to have her Pre-school jabs soon, and I am not looking forward to it. The last lot were bad enough but she's a big strong nearly 4 year old and I am not looking forward to holding her still.

Hope Baby is ok soon and you get a good nights sleep.

Funny you shoul about the vaccines not stopping your children getting measles cos my daughter had the whooping cough jab when she was younger - she`s now 25 - and she got whooping cough.
    Must`nt work on all kids.
    Hope yours are soon better.
