    Hello all
Havent been in for a few days so not read back yet will do so later

Its been an awful wet and windy day here, and bloomin cold as well.

Had porridge for brekkie and called in at Subway for a cheese and ham sub for lunch
Dinner will be sausage, mash and peas with treacle sponge pud and custard after.

Really must get sorted with wrapping the Chrissy pressys and writing the rest of the cards.
I have cut down though, we have been sending cards for years to people we havent seen or even heard from in years, and never likely to either, so I decided this year to stop sending them.

I've got loads of wrapping paper somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere, OH said it's my own fault for keep tidying up

Right the oven is calling me back later

Redruby you must be really fed up by now - I do hope you get the news you need tomorrow. We haven't moved for 26 years - but I can still remember being at the mercy of a call from the solicitor which didn't happen until almost past the eleventh hour!
Hester, hope your hubby had a good first day at the new job.
Lamewolf you've had a busy day
I haven't - just felt sorry for myself instead. Oh well, a day taking it easy is probably good for me somehow??? (See how easily I convince myself!)

    Evening all

Busy day at work today - the pre-Christmas rush combined with swine flu injections is making life interesting in the surgery to say the least!

Took what I thought was a container of chilli out of the freezer before work this morning and have been looking forward to it all afternoon and got home to find it was actually corned beef hash! So dumplings done to go with it now.

Well done Haribo on the hamper - I have had some good luck today too. When I got home there was a message on the answer machine from the local radio station, I filled my name and address on their website a couple of weeks ago and it seems I have won 4 places at their Christmas Party night in a local casino on Thursday - 3 course meal and wine for 4 people! :j:j:j I am very popular with DDs! :D OH says he doesn't really want to go as he is working really long hours so taking both DDs and tossing a coin to decide which friend to take!:D

Diva - glad to hear you spoke to Tris
Redruby hope you hear first thing about the move

Right off to do a bit of knitting - I think I could become addicted to this and can't wait to start my knitting classes in the New Year

    Have a good evening all

Had a quick glance through thread but not taken everything in so hugs for those in need

Had a rather boring day at work, spent all day in a meeting with all people who do my job throughout Wales. It was a catch up and what's on the agenda for next year style meeting but as our big boss who oversees us all works in the next office to me I kinda knew most stuff anyway! But got free lunch and glass of wine :D

I had quick meal of potato wedges and veggie burger for tea. I've just put the BM on and am impatiently waiting for it to finish so I can have a slice of warm bread and butter! :rotfl:WM went on this morning and clothes have almost dried.

I was planning on wrapping all my Xmas presents tonight whilst drinking some faux-Baileys (Aldi's best!) and eating a mince pie but I'm not sure if I can be bothered with the wrapping bit :rotfl:!

My young people at work are doing a Santa's Grotto for rest of this week, which is exciting. I have to drive a transit van round to local schools which is decked out as the grotto. I'm a bit scared about driving it, which is odd cos I drive a much bigger minibus daily!

    Have a good evening all

  • Hi Guys!

Only just got back in as there was alot of waiting. I had the mammogram then an ultrasound and have to go back later this week for a biopsy as they couldnt do it there and then as nobody was there. I am a little worried as the lump was clear on both tests. They have given me a leaflet to read. Most of the women were quite alot older and I kept getting strange looks:D

No men were allowed to sit in the seating area due to body area being dealt with, so OH wheeled me round to another seating are where we could sit together. Started talking to a young (about 25) yr old man as he was asked to move around the corner and I made him laugh as I said that alot of women wear less clothes generally than the gowns they give you anyway:p....as I said it a lady older than me walked past with a belt (skirt) on:rotfl:...it wasnt pretty!.....point proved!!

Anyway, I am having an early night as I hardly had sleep last night.

Thanks for all the best wishes and PM's.

    Hugs to all.

    PP

Dilemma! I was just checking my bag, getting out receipts, checking the vouchers in there. I see that tesco have sent a £6 to use instore this week. I already have a £4 and a £2 to use so think it would be worth going. The only thing is, is that I am trying to last my budget for this year till Dec 31st. As you can see from my signature there isn't a lot of leeway here, as I still have to get fresh stuff and dairy for the next 3 weeks. There's less than that as well, as I got a couple of things today at Costco.

Maybe what I should do is buy non-perishables and put them on one side for January etc, and then take the ££ off January's/2010 budget. I have ££ to do this. TBH I hardly ever go to Tescos these days, sometimes get petrol there when I'm passing, but do most grocery shopping at Aldi. I shop at Aldi because it's now the nearest shop. There isn't too much deciding to do, so the job is done quickly.

    evening all,

Hugs to all who need them (me included :()
Last month DS2 had a rash all over his body, took him docs, got misdiagnosed as allergic reaction, went back and saw a proper doc this time and was given the proper cream for his rash (we all had to have it) his rash has now gone but my DD has a really nasty rash now, almost like pox gone wrong, but when we were there with DS the doc said it was cold sores that has spread. went today and another doc said because she has ezcema she is susceptable to skin infections and so she has caught another one (impetigo this time!) We now have steroid cream, antibiotics, nose cream (as it needs to be done up there as well lol) and she also has very dry flaky scalp as well we now have special shampoo! Bless her she is going through it all.

My ears are inflamed as well, so had to get drops for that too. I just wish it could all go away :(

To top it all my DS1 has asked if he can spend my weekend at his dads again as his gf is having a party. Over the past few months he seems to be slipping away and spending more weekends there. I just feel like crying all the time now,
Sorry to go on, I just needed to get it down somewhere

Bought some things to do a crafty pressie for mum and its not turning out the way I want it to, so that is annoying me as well

    I sound a right grump dont I???
