    just had a fabby declutter..

DD has had a new shelf put up for DVDs and came downstairs with The Wizard of Oz, which. for a guess, my mum gave her for xmas once. Well it's never been watched - not even out of the cellophane. Probably cost mum £5 as a stocking filler.
Bunged it upon Amazon priced to sell (£25.00 - some were £34.99!)
and it sold within an hour...
Think I'll send it recorded to be on the safe side.

    How much??!!!!

I have the DVD and a special collectors edition box of the video with a book and postcards ...... BUT ........ I couldn't sell them cos it's a fab film :D and one of my favourites! Can't believe your DD hadn't watched it!

I'm stunned - and I NEVER said 'you can't sell that because...'
She has more to sell but I daren't put them up as I have no packaging.
She's agreed to go for recorded delivery - because obviously SHE pays postage from her vast profits.;)

Froddy - just look on amazon at some of the prices...incredible! I always undercut;)
she's seen it on TV - just hadn't watched this copy so we could sell it as new as it's packed and sealed.
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

Hugs Kazm - my two used to have horrid rooms too. What's worked for them is that I took all the junk out of their rooms (but didn't bin it). A couple of times I day I'd then tell them to tidy 10 things up in their room. I always ask them just before we're doing something they want to do so then they'd do it quickly - that way it never gets too bad. Every few days I'd give them ten things from the bag to put away. If they didn't want them/didn't put them away etc I'd put them in the charity bag. I do the 10 things a day tidy every day at least one. Chunking it down like this has worked for them and stops me stressing because I know something is being done and it didn't ever get any worse. Good luck xx

Hope everyone's had a great weekend. We've put some more decorations up. DH went to buy his Christmas present - he wanted a bass guitar and I didn't have a clue what to get him. It's gone away until Christmas now and he's very excited.

We're all just watching Elf. The children wanted to watch that rather than watch the X-factor final. They've not really got into it this year as they both think it's too much being on twice a week - wonder who they heard that from (bless them!).

Jinky the reindeer has left a giant chocolate coin in the Christmas tree for them to find - bit of a treat as they've been great this weekend.

This week i'm very busy with work and I want to wrap a few more presents. Infact, i'll do the teachers presents now.

    Hugs to all.

LL - enjoy your concert....everything is now crossed again ready for tomorrow....{Mudbath falls over trying to walk with her legs crossed} xx

Oooh... yes please :D:D:D Looks like I'll be making a trip to the south coast soon then... how are you fixed for the new year? I think you might be right about the wood and coal - if I can use the wood to get lots of flames then the coal should light properly and I can leave that in to keep it going while I'm out. Mind you, I can use it continuously unless a. I have vast amounts of storage and b. I get an ash can to put hot ashes in. At the moment I have to let it cool to take the ash out. And I can see the house will be a lot dirtier from now on

The office I'm at is shut between Christmas and New Year so I'll be off too - any time in that week (apart from Boxing Day!) will be absolutely fine. Or one weekend after or something. I'm sure we can arrange something. The mad dog will be pleased to see you. I shall start collecting cones up and popping them somewhere to dry for you.

And you don't need to clear the ash out EVERY day. A certain layer of ash helps (don't ask me why, but in my experience it does) and it means the clinker in it gets burnt too.

ETA I have just surpassed myself. Since DS and DiL moved out, I've started making puddings again when they come to Sunday Roast. I have just taken out of the oven the most delicious smelling and looking pineapple upside down cake made using fresh pineapple. It even remained intact when I tipped it out onto a plate! I'm chuffed I am, dead chuffed!
