dusty.. vouchers received.. thank you xxx.. DS1 was upset .. they had gone to buy shopping with the healthy start vouchers not realising they were expired.. so he ended up taking them to tesco.. I didn't think you would mind.. and he was desperate.

    Question..

If someone had offered to buy one of your childrens shoes.. not one shoe but one child.. BUT they would be proper fitted measured shoes would you have accepted? Or just been plain insulted?

I wanted to offer to get Jacobs shoes.. he will get cheapy crappy bad for the feet but look 'fashionable' junk shoes.. I would be slightly more polite in my offer but DS1 knows how I feel about shoes lol

  • The problem with the holidays jo is that because of the abuse he only see's them once a fortnight for four hours. Those four hours fall on boxing day. He is hissy fitting because he wants more time. How he thinks he deserves to demand this after no contact for 9months is beyond me. I am trying to get away with as little as possible, so offering him an extra hour on boxing day and two hours on the 22nd so he can take them for a meal is all he is getting. I've resigned myself to them coming home feeling a bit sicky but its christmas! What i dont want is lewis's asthma playing up, his sugar levels all over the place.

Right i shall stop harking on...whos watching the xfactor?!!! wasnt stacy just fab!

I'm sorry, I didn't realise there was abuse involved. I wouldn't allow him to see them at all until there was a court order giving specific details of any contact over the period (which is where the second half of the holidays comes into play), particularly as, once in possession of a court order, there are consequences for going against the precise detail of the order. Especially with sugar levels and the like being an issue, too.

A broken record 'when the court order's in place' would have been the standard reply. After all, a proper hissy fit at your door would have him arrested pretty sharpish, which wouldn't help him with demanding the children, after all.

I hope you still manage a relatively peaceful Christmas despite everything.

    xmas-smiley-010.gifMorning ladies,

    'O Come All Ye Faithful
    Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
    Come and behold Him,
    Born the King of Angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
    Christ the Lord.

    O Sing, choirs of angels,
    Sing in exultation,
Sing all that hear in heaven God's holy word.
    Give to our Father glory in the Highest;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
    Christ the Lord.'

Took me all night to catch up and then i didn't manage it.

Had a hectic week finally managed to get the trees up and put the ornaments out.

LL no news is good news fingers crossed for you chick xx

Morning Diva and whoever else is up at stupid o clock. I am awake as the Cat decided she was awake we would all be awake. DS got into our bed and i got up to feed her. Tablets eaten (the cats, she has an overactive thyroid) and now curled up on the settee.

The house is looking lovely. Kitchen stayed very tidy all week and so has the living room.

We gutted the conservatory yesterday and have a boot full of stuff to go to the tip today nothing worth freecycling !! and if it was worth ebaying it went on the other week !!

Hope you are all well. Going to start on the bedrooms and bathroom next then i will all be done ready for the big guy coming with as usual far too many toys for one little boy to play with.

We have bought DS a 'Cars' mini scalextric and a second hand DS and a couple of other bits and have spent about 150.00 which i think is pleanty. My Brother has spent double that on his two kids who are 7 and 1.

How much do you guys spend??

Going to bake the Gluten ad wheatfree cakes today inbetween cleaning and not sure what i fancy for dinner. DH can call to the shops on his way home from the tip.

Hugs for all who want or need them.

Hi Toots hope you are well xx

My mum sometimes buys Jake shoes especially his school ones this year as i was out of work and 35.00 is a heck of alot of money. I was very pleased that she had bought them and very very grateful. I am not a fashion shoe Mummy i am a sensible shoe Mummy so i totally agree with you.

Make it an early Christmas present xx

I am not seeing my brother before xmas and he has said he wants clothes for both kids as their presents as they have loads of toys.
I am going to go to Next Sale and buy their gifts and perhaps get a full outfit sale price as apposed to half an outfit at full price. Now that makes sense to me or am i just being tight?

RIP little Hamster Hugs Valli family xx

I think it's a great idea, we only had clarks shoes when we were growing up and our feet are problem free as a result IMHO. Some of my school friends are now having terrible problems as a result of fashion shoes.

If your DS know's your feelings on the matter I would hope that he understands why you are offering.

    Morning all!

Was so busy yesterday that I did not get a chance to post but did manage to just about get caught up on here.

We had swimming lessons in the morning, bag packing with cubs in the afternoon (I think Miss A and I raised £25 in our session) and then the Magic of Christmas Sunday School performance in the evening!

Just about to shovel brekkie down and dash out for Nativity this morning.

    Woooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hugs all round and wot toots said to you all :D

Another one with you on the shoe front:D
My two ALWAYS had proper fitted shoes, leather too, I never really saw the price as an issue........well I wasnt stupid or anything, but you know what I mean:D

I would tout it as something all Mums like to do for GK's......buy their first "real" shoes;)
