I appear to have run out of caster sugar, so baking is on hold for the moment... trying to get the stove going really well, so am burning a lot of kindling  My dad has informed me that I need to buy local newspapers as they burn better than nationals
or resort to firelighters
So between watching the fire and feeding it, I'm going to attempt to make some progress with the list...
So far all stocking fillers have been moved into the spare room, and lots of windows opened.

Morning - jeez only just.
DH decluttered off to bed. I'm still in PJ's and dressing gown but have had a lovely fried brunch which should see me for a little while although I know theres chocolte in the fridge .......... Mmmmmmm chocolateRemember the deal I brokered with Daz's DD?
Well she is in for a bloody big shock when she is after her money:mad:
She has put rubbish outside her room door .....its been there since, and she hasnt hoovered it either....nearly every day she was doing it the next day......that is a whole week she has had, and neither would I say her room is tidy either, it may have been emptied of rubbish but thats it:rolleyes:
She will discover I am not a soft touch.....no money for her:cool:
That does not sound half as bad as DD and yes I'm being tough with her. She will get no money from me until its done and she wants to buy Christmas presents for school friends. Doubt that they'll get them now but she can deal with it and explain to them why as I am sick of it.
Here's the "improvement"
BEFORE
AFTER 2 WEEKS OF TIDYING !!!!????!!!!
I actually dont know what to do any more - I know those who have been here a while have seen this battle many many times but it seems to be one I cant win
I NEED HELPMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
I wonder whether I've made any progress?

Spare room is now done... fire seems to have finally got doing, so I'll have to see whether I can keep it alight for the rest of the day! Just going to hoover the whole of the upstairs, then depending on time I may have to start getting ready to go out0 -

Afternoon all
I read yesterday but I think I forgot to post....
Not much going on, normal washing, tidying up, cooking etc. Just saying I'm still here! Hope everyone's OK.0 -
Hi All!!
I have given up on flying for the weekend and we have our new little collie. She was very nervous in the kennels but it now coming out of her shell a little. We had a good night, no messes or crying so we are even more delighted with her.
The only problem is when she gets excited she dribbles (pee) on the floor. I am putting copious amounts of water on it (when it happens on the carpet) and soaking it up with kitchen roll. I tried vinegar when we got the last dog and it dyed the carpet so any useful tips would be greatly appreciated.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

at least her room looks clean........this one is filled with empty cans, glasses, wrappers, plates, and crumbs and general mess:eek::cool:
I am still resisting the urge to OCD it though;):heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
Huge hugs for you Kazm - it doesn't seem that long since you bottomed the whole room out for her. Utterly frustrating for you.
Silly insomnia again so running on caffeine. I have hoovered the ground floor, wiped condensation and cat snot off the windows and washed the frames as a mould prevention measure. Emptied the DW and put it on a cleaning wash.
Poohbear - I squirt a bit of diluted vax animal care carpet shampoo on Bens little dribbles. I would test an area first though. Sounds good so far though if she is not crying, a hard habit to break.
