    thanks
I know it's not a big thing but DD loved her gerbils with a passion and cared for them so beautifully - I have been really proud of her over that.
We knew it was coming but even so...

Awww Valli - hugs on the gerbil but you did the right thing

Well, Christmas tree in position and all decorated. I think I shall just flop this evening. I have achieved much today. Am going to cook myself half a pheasant for dinner.

I ordered my turkey BEFORE I bought my meat so the nice butcher dug out the biggest pheasant for me (they are all the same price). It's big enough to chop in half and put the other half in the freezer. He also rounded down my meat order to the nearest pound saving me a few p as well. What a nice man :)

Greenbee - fancy popping in before Christmas, preferably on the day I ice the cake! Cake is 8" circle - thanks for your tips - I wonder if there is a youtube video of somebody doing it as I'm a visual learner.
If you're decorating it on the 23rd it could be arranged :D (mind you, I think there are still roadworks on your bit of the M25 so i'll probably go a different way...). Maybe hex can help out on Monday...

Testing the stove with solid fuel rather than logs. It chucks out a lot more heat - I've got a wooden wine crate in the sitting room with the fuel & logs in, but I'll obviously have to get something a bit more sensible sorted out.

I've done a bit more wrapping, and plan to get everything done this evening so that if I'm missing anything I can get it tomorrow. CBA to drive into town just to get liquorice, so I'll either not bother with the handle & wheels for the cake, or pick something up on my way there tomorrow.

Need to make room for the christmas tree in the living room too really...

Think I might find myself some hot chocolate, then give my parents a call before getting on with the rest of the wrapping. I wonder where I put the phone ...

    @ LL xx

Massive hugs Valli and Valli's DD xx

I've just got the children to unload the dishwasher. DD is making paper chains with Jinky the reindeer. We're going to have a takeaway in a bit, the children want to watch x factor and we're all going to chill out.

I'll s/s through the evening as and when. Hugs to you all xx

Some lovely fire bits here Not cheap though, I think I have a free P&P code if you want it.

Dusty - I am useless at icing. My multi skilled DH does ours. As he does anything remotely craft based.

DS2 is going to have a lovely BR. It has ended as a small double. The family bathroom will be a funny shape but will work well once the walk in shower is in. We now have a functioning white sink instead of the 'lovely' avacado horror.

We have a new tv, bought with tesco vouchers ;)...MSE or what...and yep I know they're worth 4 times as much in deals but we wanted a tv so thats what we got.:jIt's our christmas preent to ourselves between myself and OH.

Hugs to Valli and her DD re her gerbil, a family pet is like one of the family so its no wonder you're both incredibly upset, so sorry. x

Kids have just got back from their fortnightly visit to dads......ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    Their dinner consisted of....
    chocolate spread sandwhiches
    sweets
a whole easter egg and choc from the middle(after inspection was 6months out of
    date)
    Coke

fantastic menu huh? i am fuming. the kids have belly ache and are feeling sick. i am also gutted. Every sat the children stay up and have popcorn and a little choc bar like a fudge etc and we watch the xfactor together...that will not be happening tonight now, so i am magor peed with him for spoiling our tradition. But obviously that pales into sygniicance compared to what he is doing to the children. What sodding planet is he on? for crying outloud,

anywho, they are feeling ikky so are sitting watching home alone 2, lewis is hyper and wriggly like a worm and wont sit still for more than two seconds.
I have no idea what i am going to do cus everytime i mention it to my solicitor its made out like i am being petie and that they are such small things how can they be important? But its important to me. I dont like them having junk food, so its a rare thing and i want to keep it that way so its seen as a treat. Not to mention i dont want them to become obese or have problems with their teeth and diabetes etc
I am living in a nightmare honestly.
    Love to you all!
