Jinky - I was going to say lots of warm water to dissolve the washing powder but I see Greenbee has given good ideas.

Well, Soappie has surpassed herself (it helps that we have glorious sunshine here today)

    Christmas tree bought.
Christmas cards bought (found some nice ones in a charity shop - thanks Greenbee)
New tree decs bought (last year was scrapping the bottom of the barrel really and several more broke during the season)
    Turkey ordered from the butcher
Weeks fresh veg and meat bought
Stocking fillers bought (I love Maplins!)
    Half the christmas presents bought
Bedding washed and on the line

I made the right decision going out early. By the time I was driving home, the traffic was beginning to really build up.

Just having a restorative cuppa then I'm going to dyson under my bed and dyson the mattress and earn a bedroom star.

Then I'm going to put the tree up and decorate it.

    Go me!

Well I would say that you're a human dynamo, but you're clearly solar powered :p;):D

Well done... suppose I should drag myself away from the laptop and get some stuff done before I head off to meet froddy....
  • DD2 is shredding polystyrene all over sitting room floor. Joy.

Have cleared a space for the tree and got sofa covers in the wash.

    Not bad so far!

DW - dishes in, but not full yet
WM - 1 done and drying, 1 in, loads waiting
get washed and dressed - done
check if butcher in next village has sausages left - apparently they're legendary and I fancy a casserole - done, got 1lb ordinary and 1 lb tomato, and a small fresh pork pie for DS2
do stuff from this week's lists while DS1 tidies his room - still doing this, so far: stripped my and DS2's bed, sorted b.day flowers and plants with fresh water, sorted 3 lots of leaflets for paper round on Tuesday, rubbish in bin, put most of shopping away
finish decorating DS1's room as soon as it's tidy - he's asked me to inspect after lunch (he's been known to 'tidy' for hours without much visible impact), so I'm still waiting to start the painting

I feel a bit tired now (usually do early afternoon), so I'm going to have a :coffee: and something sweet and get my backside up into that loft to inspect. At least it's sunny today, so I feel less like hibernating. Cold, though.

See you all later, when there's progress to report.
