what do you think? I'm wondering about only doing the top and putting a ribbon around the outside - cheating I know but I'm not sure how to do the covering malarkey!
I don't think my car sensors work - going to get OH to check them but it is very back outside at the moment so we could be doing the loft manoeuvre first. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Froddy - thinking of Maddie
Well we are having a productive day here but a rather messy one. Radiator has been removed from the middle of what will be DS2s BR which meant we could take the middle wall out. We also took out some more wet connections in the new bathroom. Unfortunately none of the joints had stop valves on so all have involved dirty showers for DH and me. The first radiator valve cut leaked through the dining room ceiling and soaked the floor. Just lucky it missed Mount Ironmore. Luckily this is the same false ceiling that collapsed when we found out the bath over flow wasn't connected to anything so it could be worse.
The house is :eek::eek: but DH has promised that he will finish all urgent jobs by close of play tomorrow and after that it is just clearing the mess. The contents of the airing cupboard is on our bed, and you can't actually get to our bed because the bathroom floor to be is in the way. I do sometimes have the tiniest bit of regret that we din't just buy a smaller shiney new house and spend our weekends having fun instead of having wet fun.
Dusty - I usually cop out and do the baked nut top for that exact reason. Not bothered this year as only FIL and I like Christmas cake.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
:mad: Just chasing presents not delivered and discovered DH's present was delivered on Wed evening at 815. !!!!!! - I havent had it, Wed was when I did all my running round and I know I picked up the girls from their disco at 8 and dropped them off to various houses. Trouble is there are so many flats and HMO's around us that it could have gone to any of them. You would have thought the barstewards would have passed it on by now if they were going to. Hopefully Amazon are sending a replacement once they have contacted courier.:mad:Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0

and we have SS1 chopping up the wood from the wall so several sack fulls of bone dry kindling which is a bonus. the newspaper under the wall was 1959, and under that you can see the reeds on the top of the beams which is nice. I do love our house really.
kazm - how frustrating. Amazon are usually very good, hope it is sorted soon.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
