Well, technically he's an adult but he's still my kid.
Remember my testosterone fuelled 15 year old? Well he's now my 'about to leave home' 20 year old.
He's going to be moving in with his girlfriend after Xmas/New Year. I feel a bit weird tbh. I know it's time for him to go....he's been practically living there for ages anyway and I've enjoyed not having to wait to hear his key in the door before I can relax enough to go to sleep....but now it's turning all official and serious....I feel a bit sick. I'm going to miss him.
His sister is already planning where her stuff is going in his bedroom.

End of the day he will always be your little boy.
I'm just days from the big 4 0 and my mum still says I'll always be her baby.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
Been there, done that, you will get used to it in a very short time.
Trouble is when you do get used to it and then you get to really like it
they then end up saying 'cant afford it can i come home' then you say
under you breath 'oh bliddy hell' (i hope not in your case as theres a gf involved) but both my son and daughter did this and my life was changed again.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

We had one blissful year when both DD and DS were at uni at the same time and both lived away from home, DD decided year 2 to commute so moved back in and she has been here since, now 22 saving for a deposit ( or shoes it's not clear sometimes) DS came back for a few weeks after uni and left 2 years later aged 23 when he got a new job, he had worked in between but nearer here so it was sensible to stay.
You will get used to it and you should congratulate yourself that you have done a great job of bringing him up so a woman other than his mum is willing to have him LOL.0 -
is he dying? or just moving in with the gf cause i doubt you gonna lose him

Cheers guys...just felt the need to share.

He's here for his dinner today complete with bag of washing so things may be the same for a while to come. G/f has gone home to her Mum today to get fed too, although the excuse they're both using is 'to pick stuff up'. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!

He will always need you.... even if it's just for the home cooking and washing, just remember no one's cooking will ever be a scratch on yours in his eyes
