It depends what you drive. If the car already distinguishes you from the crowd, then a personal plate is an accessory that suits it. If, on the other hand, it is being used to distinguish a 2003 Corsa from the millions of others on the roads, then its chavy.

Only if you have owned the original car.

There is an outside chance I could do this, but it'd be the reg from my late Grandad's car...just need to talk my dad into it!:D

if you have thousands of pounds to spend on a plate that actually spells something in english its cool, if people have to squint or guess what the £500 plate says then its seriously chavvie

If involves your name then I'd say no, from a personal security point of view - someone shouting ' Amanda' at you as you are in a busy shopping area can use it to set you off guard, as you'd think they knew you.;) All they had to do was follow you from the car park.

Might seem far fetched, but I'd not want anyone using it to get the A3 keys off me if I had one.;) you work with the police, so will know tricksters would happily use anything they can to get people off guard.

Don't think TVV4T will be available, for the same reasons that PEN15 was withdrawn (pardon any pun)

This is a money saving web site, personalised number plates are not money saving.
Neither is buying a cooker, getting a mortgage or buying champagne, but if advice is given on the best deal (whether necessity or luxury) then by definition, a "money saving" has been made when compared to a pricier alternative. Let people have their dreams without breaking the bank.

Many years ago Mr Spirit bought a new car and the prefix for the year meant we were able to have an original registration that was relevant to our infant daughter.

When that car went we put the number plate on retention.

On her 18th Birthday we gave her a car .....with her own number plate. It is subtle, disguised the age of the car, and a bit of fun. I think she will almost certainly transfer this on to future vehicles.

    Buy and enjoy!

I love mine, it makes me smile every time I see my car.

I think they're chavvy when people start mucking around with screws and the font to make it look like something it isn't.
