Lol at this thread!! just noticed my sis had posted on here so thought id'e read for a laugh!..I love focus's, i really want the ST one in orange..is that chav? (like i care!!)..for £20k i wouldnt have thought so but who knows? I bought our car (MG ZR) due to how it looks not what it's like to drive (although it is one of the nicest i have driven)..it has the alloys, big wheels etc but all as made with not chavved up so think it suits it, its nothing spectacular to look at just right and we have had 2 offers if we ever want to sell it, so chavvy or not i picked a good one imo!

MG ZR is one of the chavviest cars out of the factory IMHO since Rover (an MG ZR is a Rover 25 underneath the plastic) went bust all the young barry boys have been buying them up like hot cakes, its like Halfords bargain bin.

My car's lowered (not by choice, they don't make the springs for mine, and closest are 20mm lower than original)
I have in-car lighting (none under, too impractical, and looks ugly)
    I have full audio
I changed the front bumper to an S15 (sorry Lum, will get you a photo, went clean out of my head), resprayed it (original colour again) and have projector lights
It has a modified exhaust (previous owner was a kid who shoved on a CRX exhaust- badly. Had to reweld it. Not my choice, but can't be bothered changing it- it's too much life in it)

    However, I don't drive it particulary fast, and it can't possibly be a chav-mobile- it's a Proton!

    Phew...... :)

Probably someone in China trying to promote their chav related wares.

Chav > Burberry > white trainers > oversized cubic zirconia ear studs > etc. etc.

My work took us on a staff jolly weekend away to Pennyhill Park; rather exclusive spa near Windsor. My poor 52 plate Astra looked a bit out of place in the car park, which looked a bit like the result of a Google Image "posh car" search. :o

Having said that, Pennyhill Park itself may be turning a bit chav; I saw a weekend there was part of the prize on The X Factor competition at the weekend. The regular clientele will be unimpressed. :rotfl:

I feel extremely guilty because I'm incredibly attached to Oscar (the Astra) but since we moved from a rented flat in a chav-tastic area to a nice house, he's definitely the chavviest car in the street (and one of the oldest). I want to change him next year, primarily because he's gone over 100k miles now and I'm sure he's going to start costing us money. But there is also a slight element of wanting something nicer. I'm a terrible person.

It's evident to me that people don't know the difference between a "chav" and a "boy racer".

Chav's can't afford a car, they steal one or they resort to uninsured and untaxed monkey bikes, mini moto's or quadbikes.... Usually without a helmet.

Boy racer's just buy crap cars and put big spoilers on them.

They're two entirely different people.... Although neither are very pleasant.
