I have had a note permanently attached to my front door for the last couple of weeks asking very nicely that if I am not in, any parcel deliveries be left with a specific neighbour who rarely goes out (I do her shopping for her). Without exception this has happened. I must be very lucky but I'm not in a posh area or anything, just a little semi bungalow. Must be my irresistable charm lol0

My hat box came! And then right after I got a call that our Tesco delivery for today is canceled! We now have nothing for Christmas or the rest of the week (had planned on having it last us until the delivery we have scheduled on New Year's Eve). Snowy and icy here, no car so can't get to a big store, Tesco can't reschedule because all its slots are booked and the other grocery stores don't have any slots either. Noooooo! So we'll trudge down to the little Sainsburys a mile away and see what we can carry back. It's always something, eh? Oh well, at least it's just the two of us and no large family or holiday guests to buy for, we should be able to carry enough to get us through Boxing Day and go back out Sunday if weather permits. If not, I always have pasta and rice in the cupboard! And plenty of chocs thanks to a Thorntons hamper I bought with Tesco vouchers, lol.
FYI, I called CS chasing my package because it had all kinds of odd holdups, said it was delivered yesterday but wasn't, etc, and anyway they checked stock and said the Reading Oracle Boots had some hatboxes in as of this morning.0 -
My boxs didn't get delivered yesterday, although they were on the DHL van. I can only assume they were stuck in the icy Reading gridlock!
Skibster - I had a similar problem with Tesco last year. Usually the people that call you are in the Tesco 'home shopping' head office. If you call the manager in charge of home delivery, at your local store you may have more luck rescheduling.
When I had the problem last year I explained how important it was I had my order, and they arranged another slot for me ...although in theory they were 'full'0 -
I ordered mine 2.45 am ish Friday morning (Free delivery to local store), got my dispatch email around 9pm Friday-and collected from my local store today. So people waiting to collect from a store it may be sooner than you think-my estimate was Wednesday-I'm delighted it was today!! x

Pull the plastic carefully to one side until it comes off the edge of the lid, you can then have a rummage and put the lid back on, then carefully pull the plastic back onto the lid, you might need to rub the front sticker back into place, I did this to 3 boxes and all looked fine after checking.0 -

On mine I just sniped the plastic either side of the label on top and the bottom
My SIL was mighty impressed that I got her a box for her 40th - she was depressed all day because she said she was "getting old now" but perked up when I gave the the box“You’re only here for a short visit.
