  • My order is with DHL and I am so worried. My last delivery with them was for House of Fraser goods and HoF ended up giving me a discount since DHL supposedly called to my house many times and left a card each time. No card was ever left and no driver ever called. A different driver eventually called and could not explain why DHL had misled me. DHL promised an explanation but never gave one. Perhaps it was impossible to explain the inexcusable.
So here I am waiting for a delivery with a sinking feeling. Add to that, DHL has used gobbledegook on its website.

What fancy term is that then? And why no decoding of acronyms on their site. This info is as much use as a chocolate teapot in trying to find out when the goods will be here.
So Boots has a website that does not work and now a delivery 'service' that does not deliver.

I'm the same one is for my best friends birthday tomorrow, but i just checked DHL and it was updated about ten mins ago, mine is now out for delivery, but not by DHL they have handed them over to some other company!
    That's what they do :)

Mine is at the Killie service centre atm :j

Don't hold out much hope of getting it soon though (and much as I want it, I want the drivers to be safe!) - took my dad 1hr and a half to do a 20 minute drive  Still loving the snow though :D

Here is a tip for some of you if you are really desperate to get hold of one.

If you live near an airport, most terminals have a Boots Landside (meaning you do not need a ticket or passport to shop in there).

The most expensive part will be the parking but if you can get a friend or partner to drive you and wait outside then you can duck in and grab one. Most shops still have them as people won't buy them before checking in their luggage.

Gatwick has them, so does Heathrow.

Just an idea if you are desperate!

Thanks a lot - so what does this mean in terms of my delivery? Is it coming out today for example. Is it being delivered by DHL iself?

    Ta!

Is yours being delievered by DHL or has been passed on to someone else like mine? What does it say on the DHL tracking thing?

I think they have been passed onto the home delivery network, (who deliver littlewoods things) And they can be known to deliver up till 9pm!
  • After much stress awaiting the Boots site to come back up on friday morning @ around 3 I ordered a S & G set for ME from Dh. It's now on it's way to me :j. It is with Dhl and reached their Ashton under Lyme depot this morning at 8.15, so should be with me today or tomorrow.

Have to say I've never had problems with Dhl deliveries so feeling positive.... It's quite sad I suppose that we are tracking our hatboxes so closely as if they were gold dust ;)

I agree! The only reason I think is because they are christmas presents which HAVE to be here soon otherwise the tree is bare!
