  • Do you know what? I sat up all Thursday night and then couldn't get on the internet. Eventually I got one from my cousin who works in Boots; with discount! She'd bought it as a present for me! But I don't use the stuff, so I bought it off her to give as a gift to my partner. Apparently they sold 1800 in store Friday - that's £36,000 worth!

Have you seen the other ootw? The Boots 17 Make Up Set - http://www.boots.com/en/17-Vanity-Case_947749/?cm_re=Text-_-181209_221209-_-C1030_Image1&cm_sp=Killer_offer_17_Vanity_case-_-181209_221209-_-C1030_Image1

Funny thing is they're also selling a couple of books on "Ethics", lol!!:rotfl:
  • Oh and meant to say it makes me mad that people bulk bought these and selling online auction sites. Its not fair, Boots should have limited to 1 per person or something as a deterrant. :(
  • It is a bit gutting when you see them on ebay. Im just bitter because I didnt manage to get one :(
    TOTAL DEBTS

    NONE!!!!!

Mine came very early this morning via DHL, it was supposed to be delivered tomorrow but it came up on the website as being out for despatch on Sunday. The delivery man said he was fed up delivering them as all our roads are so icy, so he's just skidding in his van from one delivery to the next.

Despite the negativity against Boots for not having a large enough server to deal with all our orders online, it's probably done them the world of good in terms of advertising because I placed another order with them very late last night as there were some other things on very special offer and my mum wanted some Olay which was £10.30 down from £16.63. There was also 10% of you paid with Paypal and your order was over £75, I was going to post the offer up on the boards but It ran out at 12am and I only saw it at 11.30pm. There was an emotionally charged half hour in our house with desperate cries of "what else can you order, I need to get it up to £75!" and trying to get relatives to order something else. Needless to say we now have about 24 boxes of tissues coming, but it's all money saved.

Thanks to the great community spirit on this board! It's been great and I will miss it when this is all over! Let's find another offer!!

She's obviously not read the books she has for sale then.

Totally agree,it's so bad. Ironic when you see the ethics books they're selling, how contradictory is that?? I just wish people wouldn't buy them from these e bayers,or paid £10 plus the £10 postage,so that the buyer still gets it for what it should be and the greedy blimin sellers make a loss. I doubt they would send them out then though. Such greed, and at this time of year,especially...totally wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Perhaps we should start a Facebook campaign to keep prices down on ebay - they seem to work quite well!!
