Hi all
Don't know if this helps anyone but there were hundreds at the store in Merry Hill this afternoon, spoke to SA and she said they had loads of palletts still out back, loads still left when we left at 5pm this afternoon.0 -
Got my hands on two in my local boots shop. One for neice (which o/h knew about) and second for me (well it is xmas
).Had a full on pamper session with it too,and can't stop sniffing myself now :rotfl:
Same problem here, i have read replies to your post telling you it's supposed to tingle, but on me it burnt like crazy, so much so that i had to wash it off immediatly and it left my lips bright red for quite a while afterward. My OH found that quite amusing
Thank god,i thought it was just me it happened to!0 -
The best thing happened today. My work colleague found 4 in Manchester Picadilly train station boots
I am soooo happy she got me one
I appreciate Each and Every win. I thank every comp poster from the bottom of my heart :A0 -
Woo-hoo - Dad picked me up a couple in Leighton Buzzard on Saturday, although he said they only had about 6 out. 1 for me, 1 for sis-in-law's Xmas pressie. Just had a lovely S&G bath and now feel lush.
(did get v tingly lips from the lipgloss though - went away after a while but OH was slightly disturbed by the plumping effect!)0 -
Finally!
After
a) staying up till 1am on Thursday night and then the Boots site going down
b) getting up on Friday morning to note the Boots site had gone down
c) a trip to the Peel Centre, Stockport - out of stock at 10.30am Friday
d) a trip to Woodfields Retail Park Bury - no sign of any, Friday afternoon
e) a trip to Civic Centre, Wythenshawe - no sign they were ever there
f) Saturday - a day of rest (and football)
e) Sunday - Altrincham Retail Park - no sign of any
f) *lightbulb moment* "Er, darling, can we go to the Trafford Centre for that jewellery you promised me?"..... I was just about to go and check out the Fat Face sale when I saw a woman in there with a box...
"She's got one!"
(OH looks bemused)
"She's got a hat box, come on - we're off to Boots - NOW!!!"
I'm not joking when I say we nearly ran the whole way shoving people out of the way, I was a woman possessed!
Get to Boots, and we were on the upper level. We agree to reconnaisance mission of OH searches upstairs and I leg it downstairs.
The whole of the store appeared to be carrying the Hat Boxes in some kind of bizarre parallel universe.
I ran around 4 aisles and asked a woman where she'd got hers... "over there", she said... "they were all stacked up by the door but I think they're gone"
I felt a lump in my throat. After all my efforts to get a hat box I felt it wasn't to be. I must have looked devastated.
Sales assistant comes over to ask am I alright
"No", I said
"I want a Hat Box and I have been trying for 4 days to get one"
"Get in this queue here", he said...the pallet is on its way in...
And lo and behold, I could hear the trundling of the wheels where a kindly man in a hi-vis jacket came along with a few dozen hat boxes.
And do you know, I thought, "stuff it....I'm going to be a greedy cow here..."
I only wanted ONE measly box for little old me. I wasn't buying for gifts, because I've done all my Xmas gift shopping already.
No - stuff it. I'm getting two.
That'll last me all year. I don't think I have the stamina to go in Boots. EVER AGAIN!!!
Cannot believe the whole of the UK has literally had to fight with people just to get an offer. Now I know what it was like in the war and queueing for food and stockings!:rotfl::T0 -
