    You are very lucky, they were the last of the crap cars in my view;)

    you can't be serious bri? these were the beginning of good cars. my dad had a d reg 2.3 diesel sierra from new,used it as a taxi for years, it had done 250,000 miles before it ended up being written off in an accident,it still had plenty more life left in it if it wasn't for that smash. they replaced it with another sierra after this, a newer 1.8 turbo diesel h reg and when he sold it, it had 200,000 miles on it. not bad cars at all,and used every day and night ferrying the general public everywhere.

    I still have mine, a MK3 2 door Austin Allegro. (It is the 4th one I have owned, I have always had an Allegro since passing my test 20 years ago).

    I don't care what people say about Allegros, I love her :D

    I still have mine too, a 95 Citroen ZX 1.9TD, I bought it for £600 (inc £40 fuel, £100+ tax) three years ago and it just keeps going, engine burns no oil, economical, comfortable, got no complaints at all really, it passes the MoT each year without too much hassle. From the outside though it looks like a horrendous old banger, its survived a few accidents, the best one was when another car wanted to play bumpercars and we were driving along the road side by side shunting each other in a bit of a road rage thing, when we calmed down we agreed to sort our own damage and leave it, it left his needing a respray, mind looked worse because there was rust underneath the paint and the impacts had knocked all the paint off to expose a massive rust patch, he thought mine was a write off but I just bought another side indicator housing for £1 from a scrappy and left it how it was :)

    I've just been waiting for something major to go wrong with it mechanically so I can upgrade to something a bit better but it just hasn't happened yet.

    EDIT: Must be 4 years I've had it now

    Nah, the fwd Vauxhauls where the 1st of the new generation. The Mk 2 Cav was the begining, the Mk3 the consolidation. There has never been a bad car since, honestly, :T

    Edited as;

    the sierra did look good back in 82, but the VX was far advanced, please discus,
    I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

    Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

    Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    Proton, (the one that was a Mitsuibishi Colt copy); had sat unwanted on my mechanics waste ground for ages, eventually gave him £50 for it, MOT'd it, then hardly spent a thing on it for next two years.
    Colt Copy = Satria? Holy crap that was a good deal for £50.

    I've got a Wira atm, crap car but I <3 it :P

    If that's the one with the CA16DE engine, then if you ever do scrap it, take the camshafts out and sell them to a 200SX owner. They're a popular upgrade for the CA18DET engine in that car due to having higher lift and longer duration.
