    I've been Money Tipped!
Better be quick with your order! I just successfully placed mine at the local branch and the young guy taking it said that he would be phoning all his friends tonight in case their mums and dads want to take advantage of the offer, as there hadn't up till now been much publicity about it.

If Build Centre can do it, and take advantage of government funding to make up the price shortfall, perhaps it will kick the backsides of the DIY chains into matching it, and keeping similar offers open long enough for everyone to be able to have a share.

Who needs the Copenhagen summit when we have MSE?!

Yes I've just placed an order for 30 rolls. Try this number 0800529529
  • Got through after short wait on the 0800 529529 number and order placed no problem - 11 rolls for £11.01 (not sure what odd penny was for but not complaining!)

Many thanks for the heads up on this one. Just missed out last time and my house has 20mm of insulation so needed to be done. Managed to get through on the phone line and ordered 42 rolls. Great offer.

How can you work out how much you need? We're in rented and there's sod all insulation in the roof - I'd rather pay to insulate it than waste money on heating going out through the roof!

Thanks - but it's unavailable due to demand. I doubtr buildbase will know how much to order me having never seen my house!
  • I've been trying the website and the 0845 270 8250 number all afternoon. The website is unresponsive, so I guess that's crashed or gone into shutdown because it thinks it's having DOS attack, due to the number of you guys attempting to access it. The phone rings, then put me on hold and after several messages saying their operators are still busy, I'm automatically put through to a voice messaging service, which says it is full, press 1 to end the call, press 2 for another number... are you still there, press 1 etc. etc.
I don't have a local Build Center (in the town) but do have a Plumb Center, tried them but had no joy with ordering, they did give me the number of the nearest Build Center which is at Doncaster 01302 323595 but there was no answer mid afternoon after ringing for several minutes a voice said 'the number you have dialed has not been recognised, please check and try again'. I did, I googled it, tried again, going around in circles. I finally managed to place an order for 16 rolls at 17:00hrs with Spalding branch, but it was going home time so their going to ring me back tomorrow regarding payment, fingers crossed.

Who would have thought spending some money would be so hard :rotfl:
 Share prices can go down and down and down, as well as down
