OS Daily Thread - Friday 4th December

Well another week over, 1 week nearer christmas :eek:

Hugs and well wishes for all those who need them.

OS wise, errrrr first week back at work after flu and have just managed to get to work and home, the cold I got at the end of the flu came back with a vengance yesterday, am sooooo sick of blowing my nose, its twice the size it should be and bright red, hmmm nice - not!

Arrangements made tonight for an 'early xmas' for OH's kids and b/fs and g/fs so thats 7 of them with oh's DGD so not doing an xmas dinner this year, will be buffet stuff, so far off the top of my head going to make sausuage rolls, mini quiche, cheese twirls...any other suggestions greatfully received. Do have some tesco vouchers so might get a couple of their party food packs....don't like using tesco vouchers for food, such a waste :rotfl:

Tomorrows jobs are... shopping, washing, getting OH to brave the loft for the xmas stuff, finishing my crochet arm/hand warmers oh and boring stuff like housework!

Flickr is very user friendly Thrifty and has the advantage of being able to join groups of like minded people.

Well my folks are here and it's so, so lovely to see them. :jThey came bearing fabulous gifts including a humungeous wicker hamper stuffed with seasonal goodies. :T Also a few very touching gifts from the lovely Pink. :A

No major disasters today. The meal was wonderful and the company excellent. I made all my deliveries for the school fair and the house was spick and span when everyone arrived.
Only problem was when Dad expressed his concern for the umpteenth time that having hens will attract rodents at the very same time as a little mouse ran out of the henhouse and across the run. :rolleyes:
And... you may remember that our little black cat decided to take up full time residence with the old lady up the road who spoils her rotten. She called in here to sleep and then only came to eat and then stopped coming altogether 3 months ago so we decided to get the kitten a few weeks ago.... Well guess who decided to move back in while we were eating our dinner tonight? :eek::rotfl:
Cue one very frightened kitten, one extremely p*ssed off old cat and one very confused dog. The best bit was when OH picked up the old cat and asked her if she had become friendlier, at which point she yowled, scratched him and ran away.

Better get to bed really. We have the school fair in the morning, panto in the afternoon and putting up the decs tommorrow night.

Haribo - your posts always make me laugh Unfortunately this time I laughed out loud (1.55 in morning - Hubbie was fast asleep as I am on laptop coz can't sleep!) Now he is muttering under his breath about mad women!?!?! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
