Today i have managed to use my new cooperative visa debit card on tesco.com....i previously had an electron which recently expired the numbers are the same on either card starting with 4508.....it was accepted and transfered to the verified by visa screen which was problem free.....i have had an email confirmation just need to wait until the delivery day to make sure i actually get the groceries but this is further than any previous occasion where it used to tell me in the electron days please enter a valid payment card......
hope this helps....0 -

Hmm spoken by a true person that has no idea of living with a disability....just my viewpoint on the subject and for what its worth? I find your comments both offensive and judgemental..your lucky you manage good for you
well...before pay at the pump my OH used a system called "service call" this involved a little remote in the car that once you were on a garage forecourt it could be used to summon staff to help you....thanks to the costs & introduction of chip & pin they phased the system out a fair bit..its still available just not in many places
now? he just hopes & prays we have enough fuel to drive 10miles or so out of the way to get to an asda store that uses pay at pump although this has to be my card NOT his
we never ever have mislaid the card (we're more careful than that) and should the cash only ever crop up he's faced with a very long walk to the garage & back to the car meanwhile faced by a forecourt of cars waiting hurling various abuse at him....hardly fair eh?
absolutely right...I don't live with a disability....[sorry, edit, not strictly true....my son has what society considers a disability, but we don't notice it so much......it's society that cannot cope, not my son..]
and most of the time when I do come across pay at the pump, it isn't working anyway.
But I think your observations were more aimed at the way society has gradually marginalised people with disabilities...in very subtle ways...like......discouraging personal assistance?
Rather than my observations?
[Many forecourts round here will allow one to move one's car nearer the shop/kiosk anyway....if notified especially...they aren't worried by drive-offs, as CCTV gets the number, and the cashiers arent' interested in pursuing...]
Miche....please, your example is probably incredibly rare.....more likley that you go outside to hang out the washing, and the door closes and locks behind you?
with the kids inside, and milk on the boil? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0
