I used one of my Barclays Visa debit starting 4658 the other day for a sucessful m&S order. Does that help clarify situation?

so..for me...no online shopping with Tesco, M&S, etc...no paying-at-the-pumps.....no this, no that....
oh, I will be inconvenienced....not!
I have been squirrelling Xmas/B/day pressies for some months now...mostly via Amazon.....with zero bother whatsoever!
I have always gone inside to pay for my petrol.......I cannot see the 1 minute 30 seconds I'd save paying at the pump to be significant...
I don't buy bras ..although my son thinks I may now need one.....so M&S is really done-for....and I have found, for my needs, Tesco online to be more expensive than competitors.
Argos were very happy to accept, online, my electron......last year and this......a new set of tyres also arrived a few months back, courtesy of online and electron.....
I remain un-convinced of Barclay's sincerety too...sorryNo, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -

I have to disagree too because I have to now leave my baby and little girl in the car alone when I go inside to pay for petrol.0

as I said......the above is from a personal viewpoint....
however, a question......pay at the pump is still relatively rare, especially amongst rural fuel spots, and round hereabouts.......so...how do folk with disabilities, small kids [I have my own], etc manage?
and what if the card has been mislaid, and cash needs to be parted with?
not intending any nastiness at all......simply asking the question....what did we do before all these nice technologies appeared? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Just disagreeing that's all, giving mt viewpoint. We have to manage. The children have to stay in the car on their own. I guess if your lucky to live near pay at pumps you would get used to that idea of paying. For me I don't see it as a necessity, of course not but it's safer for me to pay at pay at pump. In our city there was a hold up in the forcourt when the security van pulled up. Guns. The shop staff locked the doors of the shop untill police arrived. Now if I had been locked in that shop when my girls were out there next to that happening, on their own. I would have been hysterical. The technology is there.. it should be used, it's just annoying I can't use it.0
