  • I am glad OP is getting there order and so many others that will help loads of folk at Christmas, although I had hoped the greedy ones would not but that is my sense of fair play and justice.
Good on M&S to honour most orders
Mine is due for delivery on 8th but still waiting to be dispatched it was a chance I took ,only a small order with underwear for hubby but it was worth a try.

I am glad that people are getting their offers too, even though I missed out on the big glitch, but an £800 order is truly taking the !!!!. Some greed is good but this sort of thing makes me sick. What if more people placed orders like this? M&S is a big company but I doubt it would be able to absorb losses like that for very long. I'm all for consumer power but sometimes I feel we make it impossible for retailers to give decent offers when they get exploited like this.

Even though I didn't get a massive discount, and most of these items were gone, I still got a super good deal along with the mens toiletries glitch. In MSE terms I paid a reasonable discounted price for my items, in normal retail land I got an absolute steal. Thanks OP.
I absolutely agree. I was just saying that this type of thing always happens as it's (unfortunately) human nature.

    whoooooo

There's taking advantage and then there's taking the p1ss!!!
wonder which catagory you fall in to?
How many people won't get orders fullfilled because of grasping, selfish, greedy people like you taking up all the stock...
  • Well we can see the xmas sprit is in the air.
Not one of you out there has no idea why or what i am going to do with my £800 order,So here seeing as you have all jumped the gun a bit i will tell you .. First some of the items will be sent to my childrens school for there xmas fair and seeing as we have 3 fairs to sort out about 30 items will be used up , yes some will be given as gifts to family and friends so another large amount used up and as for the few items i will have left they will be given to my local church (and no i am not a church goer) for the old and needy to have a bit of cheer, But as i can read some people think that i am in the wrong and should of thought of other people!!!!
  • Just got my order despatched email so im hoping I will get mine.

    I ordered

3 x festive fizz (work friend presents)

1 x whisky selection (father in law)

    Total £7

I only ordered what I needed, there was no need to order any more, in my opinion if this glitch had been spotted, it would mainly be the big orders they picked up on!

My order has been despatched today - I got two of the boxed wines worth £59 for under a tenner. That's two presents sorted and I am well pleased!

Thanks to OP for the post, I'd never have spotted it on my own

i know people have been getting larger orders for £3.50, but im happy with the price i paid :o
in case anyone wants to know, i placed the order about 1/2 hour after i originally posted the glitch, so it took its time!

i woke my g/f at around 4am and told her about it and she was like EEK! she jumped up and ordered around 6 items which have just changed to 'despatching soon'

well done to those who are getting theirs and good luck to those that havent yet! i suspect there is going to be plenty of drink on people's tables this christmas!!

I think all of us who take advantage of glitches or obvious errors are greedy ,were stealing ,knowingly obtaining something we know we are not entitled to so I'm afraid I cant get all wound up about some being 'greedier' that others ,thats just silly tbh ;)

I don't think it's relevant why you ordered £800 of items, it's still unnecessary. You would still have had some extra unexpected gifts for next to nothing, if you had ordered 1/4 of that amount. Then maybe more people would have been able to order before the offer was stopped.

I feel very lucky that my order of 4 items has been dispatched, and sorry to those who are still waiting to hear about their orders- fingers crossed for you.
