by the way if it's the wooden 'brio' type tunnel and train you've bought have you seen the dinosaur set reduced to £20 in the early learning centre? It was £60. instore only I think, might be worth putting aside for birthday if that's what he's into. My 4 year old has wanted a tunnel like that for a year or three so I'm really pleased to get the set for just £20, which is cheaper than buying a tunnel on its own.

    it's this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Thomas-WOODEN-Rheneas-and-the-Dinosaur-Bones-Set---BNIB_W0QQitemZ150380788963QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxq20091016?IMSfp=TL091016162001r18315

Oh my goodness and I thought I had gone over boad with £200 each on my two four year olds. We can afford more but really don't feel the need to, £800 on a 9 year old for one dayseems a lot to me, and I thought we where in a recession.. but only my opinion.

And it's each to their own on what they spend on the kids. I've spent well over £1000.And I don't care. I've worked hard all year and I enjoy treating my kids and no ones going to make me feel bad about it.

My 4 year old said a couple of months ago, when I told him off for climbing on the sofa, "Naughty Mummy. Now just be quiet, for one minute, will you?"

It's when he repeats me like that, I nearly crack up (-:

yip it's those one's that really bite you on the a** when they mimic us :rotfl::rotfl:
