hah ha ha ha ha ha ha I picked my daughter up from nursery in my pjs the other morning because id dropped her off at 8.45 then gone shopping and did house work and I was swetting like mad so I jumped in shower just to find I had 6 mins to get my clothes and dry my hair and drive to the nursery so I just shoved my pj's and coat on lol with my hair wet tied up...it was all good fun x

i have no problem with what people are buying their kid, im just curious as to when peoples views on buying more than one main present changed

even those spending thousands on their family this christmas, most likely only got one 'must have' toy, that they had been hoping for, for months, when they themselves were a kid, along with some felt-tips, new socks/knickers, a bar of choc, and some nuts and a satsuma

ive discussed it with friends, and everyone of them, growing up, only ever got a bike as a joint christmas/birthday present, due to the costs involved (or an older siblings bike, resprayed a different colour, so you thought it was a new one)- whereas now, bikes dont even feature on present lists, as most parents just buy one as needed throughout the year, and then for christmas you get the games console, the associated games, plus more accessories

just wondered when the social change happened

Times change! and if your child doesnt have all the top of the range stuff they DO get picked on, its a cruel world but true, i have got my daughter about 8 things and its cost about 400 pounds!! it is ridiculous, im not rich, far from it but things are THAT expensive these days!
