Oh my goodness and I thought I had gone over boad with £200 each on my two four year olds. We can afford more but really don't feel the need to, £800 on a 9 year old for one dayseems a lot to me, and I thought we where in a recession.. but only my opinion.

TBH when she was younger she would get about £300 and that seemed loads but now she's older money doesn't get much at all as stated £450 on 3 things then new clothes , shoes , jacket,

bought her 3 DS games cost £100  money really doesn't stretch as much the older they get.

i'm thinking i've spend around £200 ish on my ds.
Out of that,I've got a set of junior golf clubs, gaming chair, Wii beatles rock band and lego rock band game, and wii family trainer extreme, mario and sonic at winter olympics. And of course a Chunk ;)
Those are his "big" (read expensive presents lol) but I've managed to get most of them on discount/ or price matched with discounts. And the rest is a selection of books, dvds, jammies, sweeties, keyrings (he collects them.... odd child) etc etc.
I've done quite well this year with finding bargains, so am well pleased!
